A private retreat tucked away in breathtaking evergreen forest. From the first moment you step into Round Mountain Retreat, you feel like you've entered another world all your own. A 2,500 square feet cedar event deck surrounded by fairy lights, private cozy cabins, many different outdoor spaces, and onsite award-winning catering will make your special event a day you will never forget.

Built in the middle 1948 from timber on the property. This cabin is made from hand hued logs and hand mixed concrete for the foundation. In the early 60s Lyman Winfrey bought the cabin and moved his family from the city of Spirit Lake to the cabin. In 2008 the Winfrey family remodeled the cabin to add better heating, new flooring, and more. In 2020 the Winfrey’s made more updates to host the wedding of their daughter, updating the landscape and other amenities. We know you will fall in love with the quiet and calm ambience of the wooded property that has hosted some of our family's most special occasions and casual weekend retreats. With the Cabin just a 5 min walk to the lake down the street and gorgeous landscape for a beautiful outdoor event!

Weddings happen 12 months of the year and a touch of snow or fall colors add character to your very memorable event. Spring is welcomed with “Cherry Lane” and the beautiful cherry blossoms. Caterer’s Kitchen and a Bridal Suite to rival most Spa’s. Cold Spark Machines and our state of the art Photo Booth for those lasting memories.
