The Fields, on 21 rolling acres, awaits you at the end of Reems Creek Valley. With breathtaking views of the Blueridge Mountains. We are minutes from, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and downtown Asheville, NC.​ The Barn is a 3,200 square foot converted stable, a unique rustic barn with the elegance of 21 chandeliers, 2000 square foot Patio draped with Tuscan lights. The Barn is the perfect setting for a relaxing and comfortable celebration, whether it’s a rustic elegant wedding for 50 or 500 guest. The Lodge is a 5,000 square foot Conference Center. The Great room has 20 foot vaulted ceilings. The Boardroom will seat 14 people at a conference table. There are 2 additional dressing rooms upstairs. The largest of the dressing rooms is known as the Brides Room, providing a relaxing and calming feel, with large vaulted ceilings, and views of the mountains.

This wedding venue is gorgeous. The mountains and autumn leaves were absolutely amazing to have especially coupled with the secluded, rustic barn setting that Doug has put together. The staff was so helpful and courteous, supporting us with final decoration touches and amazing host skills. Our bartender, Don, went above-and-beyond by creating our bride-and-groom cocktails with alternative ingredients even when we ran out. They were all really great at day-of coordination. Doug makes all of the food and it turns out really delicious; we recommend the braciole and polenta! The entire day worked out great and our needs were met on the day-of to make the final day very special for us. Although, keep in mind that Doug is solely running the place, which makes it rather difficult to contact him via email or phone. When we arrived for the food tasting in June (wedding date in November), the tasting was rather disorganized and chaotic, leaving us no room to ask questions or determine much-needed details (such as alcohol, food, decorations, seating, order-of-ceremony, vendors, etc. ). Doug's mother, Frida, hosted us for the tasting and left us having more questions than answers. These details were not discussed as was originally planned, but panned over quickly without room for further discussion. Unbeknownst to us there was another wedding at the time of our tasting, which did not allow us the room or time to discuss the topics during the tasting. She was further surprised that we wanted to see the venue, asking if we could come back later, only to be disgruntled when we said we lived out-of-state, which was known to them several months before. It was a stressful 'first look'; recommend going through Doug only for all arrangements/communication. Even so, details were often forgotten--and last minute, we were notified that a special event license was needed to serve alcohol, which (living in DC) is almost impossible to get any government action in less than 4 weeks. It was down to the wire when we finally got the license. Wish we had known of the license requirement 5 months prior in June during the tasting. All being said, it is a beautiful venue and Doug is very kind to take on the venture of hosting weddings at his venue. Be an on-point, early planner and you'll succeed.

The Main Event was the perfect venue for our wedding welcome reception. From the start, their communication was quick, helpful, and full of great suggestions. We loved the front space they provided for our welcome party - it had such a warm, inviting feel. We had about 80 people and it was perfect! The staff, especially Sara, was amazing and so helpful with every aspect of planning and coordinating our special day. They suggested wonderful caterers and their bar staff was fantastic. The setup was quick and easy, and they made us feel right at home and at ease throughout the entire process. For a small or big event, this is the venue you want to be at. The parking lot, A/V capabilities, and private photo room were an added bonus that really made our day run smoothly. We can't thank Sara and her team enough for helping to make our wedding so memorable.

The combination of historical charm, convenient location along the Ecusta Trail, close to Downtown Hendersonville, also offers a variety of event spaces makes it an appealing choice for hosting weddings and other gatherings. The two separate buildings, "The Grove" Events space and Listening room, and the Trailside Brewing and Tasting Room, offer diverse options for events of different sizes and styles. Our large beer garden adds a cozy and inviting touch, creating a comfortable atmosphere for guests to socialize. With ample free parking spaces, large bathrooms, and a short hike to downtown Hendersonville, Trailside Brewery seems to prioritize guest convenience and accessibility. We had our reception at Trailside this past Fall of 2023. The day of, everything went perfectly. We were given ample time to set up, freedom to move around in the space, and ability to utilize it as we saw fit. The venue usually has live music, but they booked an acoustic band, which set up in the main dining area of the brewery. Our reception was able to play its own music, from speakers we brought, and not feel impacted from the live music going on for the rest of the patrons. Our event did not co-mingle too much with the general public; however there was a couple people that drifted in and we politely asked them to leave. As stated above, our overall day of was all we could have wanted and more. The days leading up to our reception were very stressful due to renovations that weren't quite ready for our event. Since we were the first party in this space, we had to bare the growing pains, which Trailside tried to accommodate for as much as possible. I believe since we were the "test" party, this team will grow from the experience. All in all, our reception day was all we could have wanted and more, so when it came down to the wire, the team delivered.

We still have friends mentioning that it was the most fun wedding they have ever attended and we feel the same way! Also, the entire Highland team worked so easily with all of our vendors, it made it so nice for me on the day of to know that everything was taken care of. Plus, the beer and wine at Highland were a hit and everybody loved getting to try all of the craft beers. Can't recommend them enough and I wish I could do it all over just to relive that day in such a beautiful space.
