My name is Amanda Montgomery and I am Arrae Photography based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The name Arrae (pronounced [uh-rey]) came from my first initial and my middle name, Rae, added an extra r and made a new word. I wanted something unique that was also me, the idea came to mind one day and it just fit. Being a photographer is all I've ever wanted to do with my life. When I was 12 I saved up my babysitting money to buy my first 'big time' camera. I formed Arrae Photography in 2003 as a part-time venture while I worked at local photo labs, went full time in 2008.

I am a luxury destination photographer based in MICHIGAN, COLORADO & FLORIDA! I am ALL over Michigan and all over the nation! I have a home in Lansing, Holland & Traverse City. I travel all over Michigan capturing my clients from Lansing to Grand Rapids to the west coast of Lake Michigan to Mackinac Island & Traverse City to all metro Detroit! I have a second home in Vail/Summit County, CO as well as Clearwater Beach/Tampa. This allows me to be local to multiple places and states! We’re Kristyn and Jon! We’ve been together since 2014 and got married in 2019 with an epic disaster of a wedding! We planned it so carefully and thought of every detail so we could give our guests the ultimate experience (being wedding pros and all) and ended up with a monsoon that caused our tent to start collapsing! In the end, nothing went as planned except that we did what we set out to do- marry each other!
