“When I was looking for floral vendors for my July 2024 wedding in Block Island, I came across Ayla’s Instagram, and I knew immediately I had to work with her. I fell in love with the whimsical, natural, English-garden vibe of her florals, and I just thought she was the coolest person. From the first conversation we had, it felt like she “got” me, suggesting flowers, designs, and concepts better than I could possibly articulate myself. She was incredibly thoughtful putting together multiple proposals that fit our vision and our budget. The entire planning process couldn’t have been easier because of how sweet, communicative, and easy Ayla was to work with. Cut to the wedding day, and I was honestly speechless seeing her work come to life in our tent. Ayla is an ARTIST. She created a gorgeous 65 ft table runner for our head table that was so dreamy I still think about it. The bouquets were exactly what I was looking for - natural and simple but packed a stunning punch. Then there was the tent entrance installation, which was so beautiful on its own but also so thoughtfully designed to enhance the view and setting of our venue. “Yanique is innovative, brilliant, sweet, and an absolute light in the room. The first conversation I had with this woman, I wanted to work with her. You speak with her, and you can hear her smile; you can tell how passionate she is about this work. In that first conversation, she listened to all the varying thoughts I tried to communicate, and she turned them into ideas. I had about five conversations with Yanique where I said, “I think where I’m struggling is - I don’t know what I want.” I thought I did! I said I liked wildflowers! I said I hated roses! But then she’d show me a bouquet, and I’d say, “oh I like that piece,” and she’d say, “okay…so that’s a rose, just a different color rose.” She was so incredibly patient with my naivety, and she walked me through every possible option we could do. I’d show her something on pinterest, and she’d verbalize all the ways we could possibly make it happen, being communicative about how much it would cost, or she would be honest and let me know if it wasn’t possible. She sent me ideas, color palettes, boutonnieres, and was always ready and willing to hop on the phone. She was even happy to provide feedback on bridesmaid dress colors. She came to meet us at the venue for a walkthrough (a 3 hour drive for her), so that we could meet in person and chat through what we were both thinking. The flowers, as expected, were incredible. I couldn’t have asked for anything else. Yanique and her team were an absolute joy to work with, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”
