You speak with her, and you can hear her smile; you can tell how passionate she is about this work. In that first conversation, she listened to all the varying thoughts I tried to communicate, and she turned them into ideas. I had about five conversations with Yanique where I said, “I think where I’m struggling is - I don’t know what I want.” I thought I did! I said I liked wildflowers! I said I hated roses! Perhaps the highlight was the Bud Vase wall that she constructed from scratch for my seating chart. It was beyond what you see on Instagram and Pinterest. She also provided a chuppah which was more sturdy and beautiful than any I found elsewhere, and was hands on with managing the set up and take down of all the decor. I was worried about “spending so much on flowers” but honestly the flowers/decor/experience working with her was easily one of my favorite parts of my wedding, and worth every penny and then some. “My husband and I decided to have an intimate micro-wedding with 12 other people in June of 2024, and organized just about everything ourselves, including the flowers. As part of the planning process, we sought out a preservation artist who could freeze this element of our wedding forever in time. I found Jackie of Evergreen Botanical Studio and her 3-D preservation style matched exactly what I was looking for, so we booked our date with her as soon as we could. She was the PERFECT choice. I am a wedding photographer and we gave her minimal guidance like "neutrals and not too tight" haha but even with limited instructions, she NAILED it! The flowers were absolutely gorgeous and better than what I had hoped for. She even made a floral pocket square (p.s. consider this instead of boutonniere's! So much easier and so cool!) and provided loose greenery for a picnic setup. Her communication was timely and she was super easy to work with which is all you can really ask for! I will definitely be recommending Sweet as Honey Floral to all my couples!”
