Jason Hupe Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,500
  • Serves Carthage, NY

For Couples who are good at heart, that live for the seconds and party like no tomorrow. Capturing Authentic moments, focused on heartfelt storytelling. Based in the Southern Adirondacks, I have been wedding photographer for 15+ years now telling over 400+ wedding days.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband Sean and I got married at the Blue Water Manor in June 2024. We are from northern NJ and took a chance on each of our vendors through their portfolios and online reviews. Jason went above and beyond what we could have ever expected from our photographer. Since we were from out of the area we had multiple phone calls to discuss timelines and specifics really helping us think of everything. Even met with us the week of to walk through the venue and other places we wanted to take photos, just rolling with it and helping us get exactly what we wanted. Nothing could have prepared us for the crappy weather we had the day of the wedding but Jason put a smile on with us and braved it. Never complained about how soaked he probably got and just did everything possible to help us have the best day. And we did. Every single one of our guests commented on lucky we were to have a photographer like him watching him in action and our photos speak to that. Even though our wedding day has come and gone we would still book Jason time and time again.

  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Carthage, NY

Capturing love in every color of the rainbow, Kristen Renee Photography is here to celebrate your unique story. From Albany to anywhere your love takes you, we specialize in documenting authentic moments for all couples and families.

It's hard to put in words how fantastic Kristen is! She is so talented, down to earth and the coolest person you will ever meet! I am also a photographer and I have second shot many times with her and her wife Sheridan! YAY! I love working with both because they are so professional first of all, and also it's so much fun! They have this vibe that creates this fun atmosphere to be around. I so enjoy working with them. Weddings can be stressful, even as a photographer but working with them, I have never been stressed or felt like we needed to rush. They are so easy to work with. Kristen and Sheridan are the best duo photographers there are! I love watching them work along side each other. Both have the greatest attitude and love their job. I also like that they schedule your day perfectly and they get to know you. Every time I work with them I'm amazed how connected they are with their couples. It's amazing to see. They photograph so many weddings, sometimes 3 in a weekend but yet they are connected with each and every couple. I have always looked up to Kristen and it's amazing seeing her grow and seeing all the beautiful work she has done for her couples. If you are looking for a photographer, (being a photographer myself) I recommend Kristen 100x and more if I could!! She will light up a room, ease your day if you are nervous, create beautiful images and just be present with you. :)

Krutick Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Carthage, NY

Hi, I’m Richard, a wedding photographer based in the Hudson Valley. My passion is finding the beauty in the simplest moments and capturing them in a way that feels raw, real, and full of life. As a candid, photojournalist photographer, I’m all about ditching stiff poses to focus on the relationships, the laughs, and the genuine emotions that tell your distinct story. I aim to capture the little details and authentic moments that make your day uniquely yours.

Awarded Best of Zola
Richard Krutick is special. A special talent as well as a special man. He captured it! The day after our wedding he sent me a teaser gallery of what was to come. I was blown away. When planning my wedding the photographer was the most critical to me -I was picky. When I saw his work he turned my entire way of looking at my wedding around. Richard and I had over an hour-long conversation and we clicked. I, having a creative director background and working with photographers all my career, was thrilled because we spoke the same language. I wanted honest, documentary-style moments captured without noticing the presence of the photographer. He was there when you needed him and you liked him. My guests were saying what a warm and great guy he is. He got their personalities, each and every one of them. He looks at everything with a special eye. Right at the time of my outdoor wedding with the most beautiful view and lush floral arbor, it poured and didn't stop. Gravel walkways turning into mud, no bride or groom wants to see. He just grabbed the moments and ran with them. Pivoting, he captured the most creative and editorial images I could ever dream of. He took the storm and made it beautiful. I hope I will have another event, moment, fun-filled party, or cherished time that he can again capture so we can work with him again.

Welcome! And Congratulations! I am a Wedding & Family Photographer based in Plattsburgh, NY. I grew up in Charlotte, VT where I fell in love with Lake Champlain and all the beauty that Vermont has to offer. I now live in Rouses Point, NY and continue to be drawn by Lake Champlain and its charm. When I am not behind the camera capturing the authenticity of my clients moments I am spending quality time with my husband, his two beautiful children and our two dogs. We spend our summers on Lake Champlain and our winters inside the hockey rink. My love of photography started the moment I held my first camera. I hope to share that passion with you!

Awarded Best of Zola
From our first phone call with Kyla, we knew we had found the perfect wedding photographer. Kyla's communication style was fantastic - she was responsive via phone, text, email, and even met with us in person to discuss our vision. The photos she captured on our wedding day turned out absolutely stunning! Kyla went above and beyond, taking all the family pictures we wanted and choosing a beautiful spot for our wedding party photos. She is reliable, easy to work with, and thoroughly answered any questions we had. The quality of her work is truly amazing - she clearly takes the time to hand-pick the best photos for our album. We cannot recommend Kyla Williamson Photography highly enough for any of your photography needs!

Donna Marie Photo Co.

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Carthage, NY

I’m Donna Marie—the introverted, hella awkward + nerdy, all about the vibes and adventure(ish) soul that you can typically find behind the camera (rather than in front of it). I'm here to serve + empower all the introverted, awkward in-front-of-the-lens, adventure(ish) couples who want to have an authentic, non-traditional wedding experience across upstate and northern New York. What matters most are the emotions you experience as your wedding day unfolds. Whether that be in a place with easy to reach epic views, or any place or location that embodies who you are. I’m your go-to gal when you decide to take control of your wedding day.

Donna Marie Photo Co. was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding photography. Donna's communication was top-notch - she was available for questions and planning every step of the way in the months leading up to our big day. On the wedding day itself, Donna rolled with the punches when our schedule got a bit delayed but still managed to capture all the moments beautifully. Most importantly, the quality of the photos is truly amazing. Donna managed to take artistic shots that perfectly encapsulated the style and emotion of our wedding. The final edited photos were delivered promptly. We could not recommend Donna highly enough for wedding photography services - her professionalism, flexibility and amazing talent made our photos everything we hoped for and more to document our special day.

Hello and welcome to my page. I am so thrilled you are here. I am a story- telling photographer located in the 1000 islands New York. I photograph weddings in Alexandria Bay, Clayton, cape Vincent, Chamount, Sackets Harbor and Watertown

Awarded Best of Zola
My experience with Butterfly photography is really good. Our first consultation was so informative. She really wanted to get to know us and what we like/ don't like with photos. At our wedding day she came prepared with different props for our rings and detailed shots. She had so many ideas for the family photos and she got them done very quickly. Which I was shocked because we have such a big family. Her and her assistant are amazing at what they do. I would recommend this photographer to anyone who is getting married in the Thousand Islands NY

Christopher Duggan Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,950
  • Serves Carthage, NY

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

Awarded Best of Zola
We chose Christopher to photograph and videograph our sangeet celebration rather last minute as we were busy planning everything else, so it was quite a relief and so helpful to see how swiftly he communicated with us and delivered on such wonderful memories. Christopher was amazing to work with - as we had wanted, the posed photos were quick (yet came out incredible). We asked him to focus on the celebration and dancing and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We highly recommend Christopher -- thank you for making our evening so special!!

PictureMeThisByLacie

5.0

  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,500

Just like you, I have felt awkward in front of the camera. I’ve had photos taken of me that I didn’t like. When you go on a session with me, I will not only make you feel comfortable, but I will make sure you look good! I will give you prompts to keep you moving and laughing. I’m sorry but there are some angles, and poses that are not flattering for everyone. Like, please don’t take a photo of me from below! Hello double chin! What I’m saying is, I got you!

Awarded Best of Zola
Lacie captured moments that took my breath away. Her style and skill is every bride’s dream. She delivers everything you adore from those Pinterest and Instagram wedding photos. So there is no question she can deliver what she is looking for. And we are beyond thrilled with all of our photos. The sneak peeks are also so much fun (she sends a batch of photos shortly after she shoots you). But where Lacie shines and what I have to tell you about is everything else. She truly went above and beyond. She’s not just a photographer, she’ll be one of your favorite people on your special day. Yes, Lacie is kind and friendly and comforting and just the kind of person you need on your wedding day (and who you wished you roomed with in college). But she is so much more. Here are just some of the few meaningful things Lacie did that I noticed that I’ll forever carry with me. Firstly, I had a very important rosary I wanted to photograph, and with the chaos, I had forgotten. It would have broken my heart if I left it behind. Lacie remembered. I got fixated on an insignificant hiccup on my wedding day that could have ruined my day. Lacie redirected my attention to the things that really mattered and brightened up my mood immediately. Leading up to the wedding, Lacie advocated for me and my husband ensuring us she was fully dedicated to only us on the day, literally saying “You and Sean are my priority.” Nobody and nothing would take her attention away from us. She was always quick to respond to texts, I could go to her for quick wedding advice, and she’s genuinely so passionate about her craft. Lacie could really be a wedding planner with how much she knows. Other vendors loved working with her, especially our videographers. She was so quick, efficient, and took initiative. She gave them space and skillfully took turns capturing moments with them. With a big wedding party and spacious venue, we kept losing track of people for pictures, Lacie corralled them masterfully. She’s not afraid to get people to focus and get the photos done, but also in the most polite and respectful way. I watched videos of brides saying I wish this or that moment was captured. Sometimes I’d forget whether I had those moments captured myself. Then I go to Lacie’s photos and every single thing that brides mentioned got missed by their photographer she captured for me. Her vibe! She’s so positive and cheery. I was so nervous and also worried about how dark my church was. She got me excited about it after turning it into a positive saying it would look like the theater and she could absolutely work with it. I texted her a shoot list the night before our wedding. She carried that around and took it so seriously making sure she captured everything I listed. I made a Pinterest board of photos I liked and she remembered ones I forgot I included in there. She was my favorite vendor (tied with my incredible florist @dazyflorals) and the vendor I had no worries about it. I didn’t have to check in with her. I could trust her with my eyes closed. She’d be where she needed to be on time, professional, and prepared. I’m going to miss her. Sign her and soak up her sunshine for me, will ya?

My bridesmaids still are talking about his amazing work and fun personality! I would hire him again in a second. On our wedding day, he brought the amazing Dyan, who truly was our rock all day! She wore so many hats, but also did it with such ease and grace. I couldn't believe it. She guided and helped me in quite literally every way that day. You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

To quote Jessica herself - “10 out of 10, no notes!” From our initial contact with Jess through our wedding day and all the way to our gallery delivery we felt immediate comfort and ease. She seamlessly grasped what we were looking for in our photos and captured every moment better than we even expected. As 2 people who were wary about being the center of attention and in front of the camera she morphed into just another friend celebrating with us - who happened to be holding a camera the whole time. We were so incredibly lucky to have Jess capture our day and to have her beautiful photographs to look back on.

Most of Daniela's work centers around the human experience, our shared existence, and the quest for revealing the truest form of each person that she documents.

Awarded Best of Zola
Dani and I have known each other for 15 years, which is wild within itself. I’ve watched her photography journey for a long long time. Which is why the second we got engaged I KNEW we would hire her. We had an engagement shoot, as well as an “our day” vow shoot. Let me tell you, my husband and I are very much “guide us and we’ll follow” people. We’re indecisive, we’re go with the flow people, and that’s not always easy to work with. Dani from day one has guided us and taken care of EVERYTHING. From giving us options/ideas and brainstorming, to nailing the plans in place once we decided what we wanted to do. We had our vow day shoot in the Dolomites in Italy. Sebastian and I have never traveled like that together and Dani literally planned everything including what hike we were taking and timelined everything out. Which is exactly what we explained we needed and were looking for when working with her. She took everything we wanted and what we explained we wanted each experience to be like, and she nailed it. Nailed the photos. Nailed the locations. Nailed being an all around fantastic and easy person to work with. She also stayed in contact with us throughout the entire 2 years we have been planning together. She was our cheerleader, our planner, our listening ear, without a doubt I would recommend her to everyone and anyone. Not to mention these photos are to die for, and everyone is obsessed!

Hi friend! I'm Becca. Ever since I was little, I wanted to listen to others stories and share them with others. As a result of a college photography class that I loved and my dad's love of nature photography, I was gifted a camera after graduation, and I never stopped! I started taking photos at a performing arts center and became mesmerized with capturing joy. I have been in the wedding industry since I was fourteen and have been taking photos professionally since 2019.

Awarded Best of Zola
Becca, and her second shooter Liz, were amazing to work with. From the start Becca was easy to talk to, and so helpful in the planning process; from her helpful planning videos you receive as a client, planned video calls, her detailed timeline, and photography form to fill out, she made the whole planning process so much easier. She also gave lots of great advice for the day, including the decision to do a first look ahead of the ceremony. I was hesitant at first as I wanted to do the real reveal at the church, but after talking with her we decided to do the first look. I’m so glad we did as Becca was right, it took a lot of pressure of the rest of the day and gave us time to really soak that moment in just the two of us. This also allowed us more time to enjoy other parts of our day like attending the entire cocktail hour! Looking forward to the day, I was worried that I was going to hate having to take so many photos and being in front of the camera and felt like it was going to feel like wasted time in the day. Now, I am so happy that I had Becca for this, my husband and I had so much fun interacting with the photographers. Becca gave great instructions and had lots of fun prompts/conversation pieces to help us loosen in front of the camera and to look more natural. I am so looking forward to the photos, but from the day and seeing her precious work, I already can tell we are going to love them.

We were so lucky to have found Kathryn for our wedding. As a photographer, Kathryn is an artist. She has incredible talent, creative ideas, and delivers stunning results. As a person, Kathryn is simply a joy. She is warm, easygoing, and fun. She made the process so easy from start to finish and we actually miss getting to chat with her! We are a same-sex, interfaith couple, and came to the table with family drama, a crazy dog, and a mashing of cultures. Kathryn didn't bat an eyelash. She has a true inclusive spirit, and that continues to mean a lot to us. If you want to be able to relive your special day with profound joy for years to come, just choose Kathryn! Hullo! So you're gettin' hitched (YaaY!), but you’re not super into the idea of the overly-manicured wedding. A+ for you, because this is not your parents’ wedding photography. I'm a farm kid who floats between the journalism and art worlds. I love telling stories as much as I love listening to the stories of others. I’m the type of person who makes up musicals for my own amusement and nurses a soft spot for sci-fi and fantasy. If I’m not taking photos, I’m usually dancing. Or cooking. It’s possible I may have a baking addiction and try to mitigate the damage by forcing the goods on loved ones.

Most wedding photography feels overly curated and predictable. I’ve seen the same 20 poses across different photographers, with prices all over the place. But let me tell you about Celia. We hired her for our engagement and wedding photos, and she was nothing short of amazing. From the start, Celia was incredibly responsive, offered great direction, and truly captured the youthful energy of my wife and me. If you’re searching for a photographer who not only documents the curated moments but also the spontaneous, unfiltered ones—while making every shot feel like a mix of Vogue, paparazzi, and playful fun—Celia is your person. I also want to highlight her incredible skill in photographing and editing people with melanin. It’s not something every photographer gets right. IYKYK. Celia’s work is never boring, never one-note. She brought our special day to life in a way we’ll cherish forever.

Photographing weddings and elopements is a privilege that I do not take lightly. I treat each moment with as much care as if it were my own! While I am happy to take on weddings of any size, I specialize in intimate weddings or engagement sessions where I can embrace a documentary, candid approach. My favorite moments to capture are those quiet, unplanned interactions. I adore the small details. The moments that sometimes get overlooked but often times help tell the story of your wedding day the most. I thrive with couples who aren’t afraid to be silly and embrace the moments as they come as opposed to forcing it.

Sydney was a dream to work with for our wedding! She is so kind and easy-going, she instantly eased all of my wedding day anxieties. She truly does it all and was essential in making our day run smoothly. From fixing my veil, to bustling my dress, and wrangling up our wedding party all while getting fantastic photos. She really is so talented at what she does by capturing all of the in-between, authentic moments that you want to remember forever. Our photos turned out better than I could have ever imagined and are so timeless, we will cherish them for the rest of our lives. We couldn’t recommend her enough not only because of her beautiful work but for the person that she is!!!
