Hartley House Event Venue

5.0

Batesburg, SC
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,400

The Hartley House (also known as the Bond-Bates-Hartley House) located in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina was built circa 1790 for John Pearson Bond. The house later came into possession of John Bates, husband of John Pearson Bond’s great niece and a member of the family that the town of Batesburg was named for. There are many local legends surrounding this house and it’s friendly visitors. According to local tradition, the Bond-Bates-Hartley House served as a stagecoach stop and post office, prior to the founding of the town of Batesburg. Architecturally the house is a typical upcountry farmhouse, with a portico adapted from the Greek Revival style.

Crystal with The Hartley House is hands down one of the best vendors I’ve worked with in the greater Columbia wedding industry. Her communication is excellent, she is flexible, and extremely helpful with problem-solving before and on wedding day. She also genuinely cares about her brides, and you can tell she is so passionate about her job and just being a part of the couple’s wedding journey. Hartley House is a stunning venue that is incredibly affordable. From a wedding coordinating perspective, it is such a convenient and logistically simple venue to produce events. I HIGHLY recommend Hartley House.

The Oaks Wedding Venue

5.0

Anderson, SC
  • Up to 375 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,700

The Oaks Wedding Venue, situated on over 200+ acres in Anderson, South Carolina, is quickly becoming a favorite of couples, families and their guests as the idyllic spot for their wedding day. In considering Oak Terrace, The Veranda, White Oak Grove or Oak Pier, you have several ideal settings for the perfect outdoor Ceremony. If you prefer the Luxury of the 5000 sq foot Grand Oak Hall, you enter the from The Portico through the 10-foot, double doors carved of French Oak from the 18th century. Your seating arrangements are endless as you consider which feature creates the backdrop for you to say your vows. The hand carved, limestone fireplace adds warmth while the massive white pine beams soar overhead suspending antique wrought iron & crystal chandeliers. Enjoy the view of Lake with wrap-around windows & doors as the 30-foot glass wall is drawn open to the Veranda, offering an indoor-outdoor space. With the uniqueness of your wedding in mind, you have flexibility with your style.

We highly recommend The oaks to any newly engaged couple looking for the perfect venue. The manager is super professional and so sweet. She was easy to get along with and super helpful with recommendations for vendors. The venue is absolutely beautiful and has multiple spots for ceremonies. It’s very roomy. We had over 200 people present and still had plenty of room. The only downfall was the tiny bridal suite BUT i decided to get ready with the girls at our home and I highly recommend that over any bridal suite!
