The Inn’s location on the shores of Alamoosook Lake lets our guests enjoy nature at its best. We have crystal clear water, beautiful native pine trees and an astonishing array of wildlife. Loons, osprey, and bald eagles all contributed to making the inn a “Best Nest” accommodation by the Maine Birding Trail association. At night enjoy “s’more” by our lakeside fire pit. We have no light pollution, so you can see more stars than you ever thought existed.

With access to miles of hiking trails, canoeing, and opportunities to spot wildlife, Medawisla Lodge offers an unforgettable experience for your special day. AMC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the mountains, forests, waters, and trails of the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

“We had our wedding at AMC Medawisla in September 2023 and would highly recommend the venue after touring countless others in Maine! John, Charlene and the rest of the AMC staff allowed us to highly customize the weekend by cooking some of our favorite foods, adding additional signage so that our guests wouldn't get lost, and overall making the weekend as smooth as possible. Our guests enjoyed the star gazing! We appreciated that all our guests could stay onsite and some of cabins included bathrooms and showers for those that wanted a less rustic experience. We were nervous about black flies but ultimately it wasn't an issue at all even at dusk. Even though we had gorgeous weather, the dinning room in the Lodge is a fantastic back up rain option.”
