The Venue CU is an upscale urban wedding and event space located in the resurging east end of downtown Champaign, Illinois. We are located in Southern Edgar County out in the country on a pond. We opened in August of 2010 and produce and bottle our own wine. Our banquet hall is 40x60. area. We have a stone fireplace on the South wall and a stone bar. The rest of the room is open. There is a separate door that enters the banquet hall from the outside, and an exit door to the wine garden outside. If you rent our banquet hall, we will supply you with tables & chairs. The tables will have white tablecloths. We do have a beer & liquor license, but this is for special events only and needs to be mentioned at the time of booking your event.

The Mt. Zion Convention Center is a multipurpose meeting and convention facility located in the newly constructed Mt. Zion Village East building along State Highway 121. It’s also been featured in the LA Times, National Enquirer, and made a special trip to New York City for a photoshoot with international fashion designer Betsey Johnson! We can marry you on the road or parked at your chosen location with an unlimited guest list and then deliver you right to the reception! The ideas are limitless! The Best Man may only be scheduled for use in the Midwest from the first day of Spring to Halloween.

Owner Hillary of Hillary Rae Events found that she was running into problems when trying to find a local venue space for her events less than 100 people that made her clients feel at home. That is what led her to establish Company 421 the perfect space to host small intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners, wedding showers, baby showers and so much more. Her goal was to create a space that her clients felt at home and comfortable, without having to deal with the stress involved with hosting a small gathering at her client’s actual house.
