Lakeside Occasions is a family-owned wedding barn in the heart of northern Indiana's Amish country. Our historic dairy barn was built in the late 1880's and has been in the family ever since! We call it "The Guernsey" in reference to the type of cows that were milked there. The barn is nestled between picturesque farmland on a peaceful lake in a small village known as Emma.

The Hopewell Barn is located about 1/2 mile south of the historic Hopewell Church. Built in 1872 and purchased by Deb in 2018, the church is listed on National Historic Register for its ties to Gene Stratton Porter. Gene was a famous author in the early 1900’s and the area of ‘Hopewell’ was used as the locale for the settings for several of her books. The name ‘Rustic Barn at Hopewell’ was selected to pay tribute to historic roots of the Hopewell area.

Allow yourself to be transported back to the1870s with the ultimate storybook setting for your special day. Our century-old J.T. Vawter Barn offers a rustic setting with its hand-hewn posts and beams, antique tables and chairs, and beautiful views of the farm’s pond and orchard. Dine and dance the night away with your guests in one of our gorgeous restaurant/loft locations with exposed wood posts and beams, or under the stars in our quaint apple orchard with your own customized arrangements and décor. The St. Joe Farm has the capacity for up to 325 guests in the Event Barn, however there are multiple spaces available.
