Can we bring our own alcohol?

Alcohol can be served at any time for events in the private event space. Alcohol in the café is limited to after business hours. Client is responsible for providing all alcohol. A special event certificate of general liability insurance is required. This can be done through a home insurance policy or may be purchased through a company such as The Event Helper (theeventhelper.com). Thistle Farms will provide a licensed bartender for bar service. Bar glassware rental is an additional charge.

How many hours are included in our booking?

Space is rented by the hour. Your rental includes 1 hour set up time before the event and 1 hour breakdown time after the event. Additional time can be added if needed, simply coordinate with your event contact.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

All deposits are non-refundable. All cancelations must be in writing and received by our office at least 40 business days prior to the event date. Any event that is not canceled within this period will result in a 50% charge of the total amount of the contracted event. Events that are canceled within a 24-hour time frame will result in a 100% charge of the total contracted amount.

Do we need to get insurance?

Our venue is fully insured. If you will be serving alcohol, a special event certificate of general liability insurance reflecting commercial general liability insurance in an amount of at least $1 million combined with a single limit for bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage liability must be provided two weeks before the event.

We are the exclusive caterer for our space. Outside professional bakery special occasion items are permitted (cakes, cupcakes, etc.). Cake cutting fee will apply for service, plates, and forks. Client is responsible for providing all alcohol. For mixed and specialty drinks, client is responsible for providing any needed bar mixers and prepared bar fruit.
