Conveniently reached by guests from all parts of North Georgia and the suburbs of Atlanta, The Wheeler House encompasses true southern charm with its meaningfully preserved, yet restored grounds and house. Built in 1906 by John. F. Wheeler, owner of the Wheeler Lumber Yard on Main Street in Ball Ground, the house was constructed with Heart Pine tongue and grove floors, walls, ceilings, and wrap-around porches. The Wheeler House is a historic gem that has been given new life by serving as a wedding venue and special event site.

Summer '24 Bride
My wedding at the Wheeler House was the wedding of my dreams. The venue is absolutely speculator. I am a summer '24 bride, and had an amazing experience. The in-house vendors were incredible to work with, and were easy to communicate with. With so many options as well for in-house vendors so much stress was taken off of my shoulders as a bride that I greatly appreciate it. Our coordinator Ashley was an angel and ensured that everything went smoothly for our wedding day. I highly recommend that if you are looking for an amazing wedding day experience to look at the Wheeler House.

We just had our wedding at The Wheeler House and couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue! We received so MANY compliments from our guests! Not only is the place gorgeous, but the service, value and preferred vendors were all incredible! We used the caterer and cake vendor that was part of the package and I can't tell you how many people mentioned that it was the best wedding food and cake they've ever had! Our venue coordinator (Eden) was an absolute pleasure to work with and made the overall planning and day of the wedding stress-free! I highly, highly recommend The Wheeler House, especially if you're looking for an elegant venue with more of an all-inclusive option.

I would recommend Wheeler House time and time again to brides-to-be! Their team is warm, knowledgeable, and took the time to respond thoroughly to my (many) emails :). The venue itself is gorgeous. We used the barn for our ceremony and reception to escape the summer heat, and it was both beautiful and comfortable for our guests! The morning of our wedding came with a huge thunderstorm, but by early afternoon, the staff had cleaned up the yard of all the twigs, leaves, and branches that had been blown around, and it was like nothing had ever happened! We were able to take photos as normal, free of flooding and debris! Kelle was our day-of coordinator, and she was WONDERFUL! She is kind and calm, yet efficient, and her expertise helped me to be at ease on our wedding day. Getting ready inside the house was also a pleasure! There was more than enough space for myself and my 4 bridesmaids to get ready in the same room together. Despite it being an older home and getting married in the summer, it was very comfortable! Overall, The Wheeler House helped me to have my dream wedding day, and I could not recommend them more!

The Wheeler House staff was so easy to work with and so helpful with the entire day as well as building up to it. They treat the bride and groom like royalty and everything was absolutely perfect. Our wedding planner, Kelle, was an all star and the venue was so beautifully decorated. Everything was ideal and perfect. If you want a wedding that is as beautiful as you see in the movies, GO WITH THE WHEELER HOUSE!
