We love our beautiful, urban Austin, but also truly appreciate a little escape to the Texas Hill Country where it’s quieter, the air is fresh and time slows. The Wayback is a casual boutique hotel 15 minutes west of downtown. Our style here is friendly, comfortable and classic. Surrounded by hills and a big Texas sky, The Wayback is a place to feel the breeze, be carefree and linger. Rent the entire property and invite your guests to stay in our eight boutique cottages or host your event on our patio for one night. Every Wayback event is catered by our kitchen and craft bar, sourcing the best of local.

An intimate 650-square-foot indoor space that’s ideal for meetings, registration breakouts and hospitality. The Wayback Cafe serves classic farm-to-table meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our dining team and executive chef will work with you on custom menus that incorporate the best of what’s in season in the Texas Hill Country

Choose from eight classic board-and-batten cottages with interiors that combine fresh and natural, with a bit of vintage. All come with Hill Country views. Cottages range from 375-450 square feet and they are situated around a grove of oaks and cottages 5 - 8 have Hill Country views.
