As the embodiment of ‘Connecticut Charm’ with its 18th-century architectural design & rustic, New England inspired designs, The Spinning Wheel is the ideal destination for an intimate reception. Our venue, sitting on five acres of rolling countryside, offers both privacy and accessibility - with its picturesque location in quaint Redding, CT and its proximity to major thruways (I-95) and Manhattan (approximately an hour away). Our charmingly-appointed banquet room can accommodate weddings of up to 150 guests and features the original fireplace from 1742. The scenic garden gazebo is a favorite for nuptial exchange and the covered patio serves as a perfect setting for cocktails and outdoor receptions. The best!
Having our wedding at the Spinning wheel was amazing! From the food which our guests are still raving about to the garden and the gazebo ( so many great photos) to the GORGEOUS rustic design inside! Our biggest and most sincere thank you goes to Katlyn who made sure everything was on schedule and just as we wanted. She made sure the night went on without a hitch. We highly recommend working with Katlyn and the folks at the Spinning wheel, they know how to host, organize and throw a great party!
Only great things to say!
We both loved the venue the first night we set foot on the grounds. Katlyn worked with us over the course of a year and patiently answered any and all questions we had. She met with us several times and had a plethora of information any time we had a question or needed advice. The day of our wedding was seamless with her behind the wheel! Staff, food, and ambience were over the top incredible! All of our guests felt relaxed in such an open atmosphere. We wouldn't change a single thing, and have been on cloud nine since our wedding day. All thanks to the professionalism, candor, and utmost competence of every person who was apart of our special day. We're Grateful for finding this gem!

Katlyn, the staff and the beautiful grounds and at the Spinning Wheel are amazing! If I could give Katlyn and the entire staff at the Spinning Wheel more stars I would! Katlyn was so quick to respond to any questions we had while planning our wedding and eager to accommodate special requests. All the food was delicious and the bar service was superb! There was never a wait at the bar, the hors d’oeuvres flowed constantly and the dinner was so very delicious! I think every one of our quests commented about how perfect our wedding was. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Katlyn and everyone at the Spinning Wheel for your kind, friendly and very professional service!
The best place to have a calm wedding!
I loved photographing Kelsey & Alex's micro wedding at The Spinning Wheel! The afternoon was so calm and easy with the Katlyn's great organization and the rest of the staff. The flowers and appeal of the venue is stunning in the spring and summer. For it being a small venue, there are still tons of different photo opportunities.
