The Sanctuary Beach Resort offers stunning Ocean Front wedding ceremonies, catered receptions, and freshly renovated guest rooms all to create a memorable experience for you and your guests. We are the only resort on the Monterey Bay to offer wedding ceremonies on the beach. The unrivaled convenience of stepping out of your guest room and arriving at the aisle is unmatched.

Cannery Room & Deck

Dine in style while looking over the Marina State Dunes Preserve

The Cannery Room is the larger of our two private dining rooms, which can seat up to 64. The adjacent Cannery Deck overlooks the Marina State Dunes Preserve and is the perfect setting for your cocktail reception, or it can be used for supplemental seating for an additional 36 guests.

Perfect venue for our micro-wedding

The Sanctuary Beach Resort is a stunning venue, and it was a truly perfect experience from start to finish. I planned a very last-minute micro-wedding for my sister and we got so lucky with Sanctuary. I was connected with the Sales & Catering Manager Jess Felton, who was so understanding, kind, and extremely efficient. Together, we quickly pulled together a beautiful family-only wedding weekend at the Sanctuary. I highly recommend it! We were even able to fully customize the Pearl Room (see the pictures!) - including bringing our own flowers, decor, linens, etc.

Guests are permitted to bring outside wine. We charge a corkage fee of $50 per 750ml bottle with a limit of one bottle per every two persons. Please, no outside liquor, beer, or any other type of alcoholic beverage other than wine.

Yes, we provide free parking on our property

Our property meets all ADA requirements. For the Beach Bluff, we recommend working with one of our third-party vendors to rent beach accessible wheelchairs

Exclusive use of private space, set up, clean up, tables, dinnerware, flatware, glassware, and a dedicated banquet service staff.

Beach Bluff: One Hour. Wedding reception space: Five Hours.

Booking fees for our facilities, and all payments made including deposits, are non-refundable. If you cancel your event within 30 days of your booked date, we’ll bill you the full amount of all estimated charges.

Monterey Regional Airport (MRY) is conveniently located 10.5 miles from our property. Other close airports include San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC): 65 miles, San Francisco International Airport (SFO): 96 miles, and Oakland International Airport (OAK): 95 miles.

We require all vendors to provide their certificate of insurance (COIs). Event insurance for the couples is optional.

For parties of 20 or more, we require couples to enlist the services of a third-party wedding planner (or at least a day-of wedding coordinator) to ensure the flawless execution of your event.

Yes! Our Sales & Catering Manager is available by appointment Tuesdays-Saturdays.
