About this venue

The Pavilion at Black Water Junction was built by our family, for our family. We used old wood, old doors, huge rocks, and live edge boards, all found on the farm. We decorated with special things from our family. All of this makes our venue a very special place that we would like to share with you!

The Reception Pavilion

The Pavilion at Black Water Junction is Magical!

Our venue is designed to make your entire event stress free. We have everything in the same area; full kitchen, 3 bathrooms, reception area, pergola for the bar and dj, dance floor, and wedding arbor. In case of rain, you just stand under the pavilion. We have gravel parking for 80 cars, pea gravel walkway into the venue, so there is no fear of getting stuck or muddy. We have a bridal studio and a separate groom's shack to keep the couple from worrying about seeing each other before time.

The rustic chandeliers have dimmers that create an enchanted room as the evening light fades and the ceiling dances with little white lights. There are also two huge fans that keep the air moving.

The Bridal Studio

An adorable place to get ready and hang out.

The Bridal Studio has a half bath, a screened dressing area, lots of wall mirrors, a buffet for snacks and drinks, two hair and makeup stations, a loveseat and chairs for the bridal party and family.

The Grooms Shack

I call it a Shack for a reason.

The Groom's Shack is a laid back place for the guys to get dressed and hang out. It was the old Timberidge Library. It has the original wood flooring, barn wood ceiling, concrete bar and large deck surrounding it.

    The Pavilion at Black Water Junction was an outstanding choice for our wedding venue. From the moment we first reached out, the team was quick to respond, open to our ideas, and approachable throughout the entire planning process. The venue itself has an authentic, intimate vibe that allowed us to truly customize the space to fit our vision. On the day of, the staff went above and beyond to coordinate with talented local vendors and ensure every guest was enjoying themselves.     From the moment my husband and I met the owners of The Pavilion at Black Water Junction, we knew we were in good hands. Their collaborative and empathetic communication style immediately put us at ease, and their clear and thoughtful guidance throughout the planning process was invaluable. The venue is picturesque and welcoming, with an inviting and functional indoor and outdoor space that exceeded our expectations. Melba and the rest of the staff were assertive in ensuring every detail was taken care of, going above and beyond to make our son's special day unforgettable. The Pavilion at Black Water Junction is the best venue around, with amazing owners who are extremely helpful, caring, and passionate about creating the perfect event.     Black Water Junction is an absolutely breathtaking environment and Melba made the planning, preparation, and execution of the wedding day such a breeze so that we could focus on enjoying the day. So many features available at BWJ that are not normally available, it was cost friendly, and when you are spending wedding money, even more modest weddings, service is EVERYTHING! Melba and BWJ are GEMS! We couldn't be happier that we found them. We stayed a couple of nights in the Honeymoon Cabin and another home nearby and it made life so much less stressful. We couldn't have asked for anything more. It was a truly magical day, just as is envisioned for the wedding day dream!
