About this venue
The Market at Grelen is thrilled to announce the opening of its newest venture, The Grelen Depot. With historic preservation, art and beauty in mind, this versatile property was thoughtfully renovated and designed by Grelen Co-Owner, Leslie Gregg. Her objective was to enhance the charm and character of the lovely Main Street by creatively restoring this classic old-world structure situated in the historic town of Orange, Virginia. The Grelen Depot boasts high ceilings, ample natural light, an art gallery, bar and lounge areas as well as a loft space with a range of seating options. Each space has its own distinct personality and all can be used for a variety of events including weddings, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, workshops, corporate retreats, and more. The Depot also features a luxury suite, called The 118. This space has a living room, bedroom and glamorous full bath.

The Grelen Depot includes a luxury suite known as The 118, which boasts two rooms and is located on the second floor. This elegant space comprises a living room, a bedroom and a lavish full bathroom. While it was originally designed with honeymooning couples in mind, it also serves as an ideal "getting ready" suite for weddings hosted at The Depot (or in the area). It can also be rented as a relaxing retreat for anyone wishing to discover the many attractions of Central Virginia.

The 118 Suite is a must for wedding couples!
My husband and I stayed at the 118 Suite for our wedding weekend and could not be happier we did so. The space is not only beautiful, but has so much room (which we needed with all of our wedding outfits and things). I must say that the bathroom was my favorite part--it is massive and the shower was so relaxing. We were a little nervous about the train, but they provided ear plugs and we only heard it once through the night. Everything was clean and good quality, and the location and check in/out was easy. I really think it's completely perfect for a wedding around Orange or Charlottesville, and couldn't recommend it more!

The Depot in downtown Orange, Virginia is everything you could hope for in a special event venue. I have had the privilege of shooting 2 separate events in The Depot's event spaces, and I hope to return for more. Each space within the depot is thoughtfully designed with beautiful details, making it the perfect backdrop for any special celebration. I typically try to avoid indoor venues due to a general lack of quality lighting/backdrop opportunities as a photographer, but I have loved every minute that I've worked at The Depot. Everywhere you look presents a new backdrop opportunity, and the spaces are filled with ample natural light during the daytime. Working with the Grelen Events team is always a breeze, and they are eager to resolve any day-of questions or concerns. You really can't go wrong booking The Depot for your next celebration/event!
Beautifully Designed Space Right On Main Street
If you are looking for a stunning space to host a rehearsal dinner, party or intimate wedding in Central VA, you found it! This building has been restored and designed so beautifully by The Market at Grelen team and with it comes their amazing commitment to client and guest experience. Our clients have used this space to host their guests for dinner and welcome drinks in advance of their Market at Grelen or Boxwood Lodge weddings and have only amazing things to say. There's also a beautiful suite if you're looking for a little getaway!
