Inspired by the Roman Pantheon, the Memorial is home to a 20-foot tall statue of Benjamin Franklin, which sits beneath an 82-foot domed ceiling and gold gilded oculus. The event space is dramatically framed by 16 marble columns, and offers state-of-the-art audio visual capabilities. The lighting and audio features can be customized to illuminate and enhance your event with clarity and elegance. The Benjamin Franklin National Memorial can be paired with our interactive exhibits.

Planetarium

Enjoy your ceremony or reception under a customized star sky!

Add a cosmic touch to your event by entertaining your guests in Fels Planetarium, where guests will be star-struck by the night sky and planetary images projected on the theater dome. This room is perfect for cocktail receptions, dinner receptions, and wedding ceremonies. Our Planetarium is the second oldest running planetarium in the country!

    We held our wedding at The Franklin, with photos on the steps and around the museum, a rooftop service followed by cocktails in the life sciences and energy galleries, and dinner and dancing in the Rotunda with the Ben Franklin National Memorial. Start to finish the days was seamless, organized and amazing. The combination of the quality of the organization (we did not need a wedding planner, the staff at the Franklin did 90% of the work), the food and catering, lighting and small touches all made the day the best of our lives. On top where else can you drink a Martini in the Giant Heart and dance under the stars in a National Memorial. Can not recommend them enough !!!
