About this venue
The Barn at Stratford is owned by the Delaware County Historical Society. Our professional event staff are organized, intuitive, and experienced. We customize each event for your budget, style, tradition and vision. Our venue offers you the unique experience of holding your wedding and/or reception in an authentic 1840s barn. When you plan a wedding in The Barn at Stratford, there is something so uniquely romantic and timeless about beginning your own history on property so significant and carefully preserved. Since 1848, The Barn at Stratford has been pivotal in the community. It has represented business, innovation and now tells the tale of progress and history over the last 170+ years. Every photograph, smile, footstep & memory made here in our barn lives on as part of a legacy in the central Ohio history by supporting historical preservation and education.

Main hall
The main hall of the barn is climate controlled and versatile for the needs and layout of your event. Bistro lighting is kept year-round.
This beautiful room is original to the structure of the barn. Stacked limestone from nearby quarries and hand-hewn beams have been dated to 1848.

Carriage House
The Carriage House room is adjacent to the main hall of the barn.
he Carriage house room is adjacent to the main hall of the barn. The doors lead to the light canopy and backyard. This is a popular space to locate the bar and buffet for larger gatherings but can be used to many purposes. The walls of the carriage house feature large black and white historical photos and antique items that help tell the story of the Delaware community.

Meeker Homestead Museum
The Meeker Homestead Museum is the original house beside the barn.
The Meeker Homestead Museum is the original house beside the barn. The Meeker House can be opened for tours during cocktail hour as additional guest entertainment. The Museum is also available for private parties and photo shoots.

The backyard of the barn is a beautiful outdoor space.
The backyard of the barn is central to the 6 acres of property. The willow tree at the bottom of the hill beside the creek is our most popular ceremony location. We also have a gazebo and an ohio wildflower garden for photos. The lit canopy is great for outdoor entertaining.

Bride
The Barn at Stratford was the perfect venue for our wedding. Their communication throughout the planning process was timely and responsive, which helped make the experience stress-free. The venue itself is spacious and beautifully decorated, providing a gorgeous backdrop for our special day. All the staff, especially Melissa and her team, were so nice and helpful, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that we and our guests felt well taken care of. Amazing Venue
The Barn at Stratford was the perfect venue for our rustic wedding. Communication with their team was easy, prompt and helpful throughout the planning process, which made things stress-free on our end. The barn itself is a beautiful, unique, and clean space that really allowed our wedding vision to come to life. Everything from the charming string lights to the gorgeous exposed beams brought warmth and charm that made our big day feel special. The venue coordinators were also fantastic to work with - extremely nice, patient and accommodating. They truly went the extra mile to ensure we had an easy, enjoyable experience. If you're looking for a relaxed vibe with a romantic barn backdrop, I highly recommend The Barn at Stratford. It was the ideal setting for our wedding!
