About this venue

Welcome to Sun Mountain Lodge, a resort at the edge of the wilderness. We are extremely proud of our Lodge and the Methow Valley! The Lodge is surrounded by a myriad of hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoe trails. Spring flowers are abundant in the off-season and fall foliage is picture book perfect in the fall. SML offers magnificent wedding sites that surpass extraordinary. The Lookout

"An adventurous start to married life"

The newest location on our property that starts with a relaxing 1.5 mile hike to our beautiful lookout. Our lookout is back to the basics with no running water or electricity and is perfect for a relaxing day with family and friends or just 2 people wanting to commit their love for one another in private. Sun Mountain is happy to set up this space in advance and can offer Sprinter van rides for any guests unable to make the journey.

Yes, we do have accessible facilities. Our Methow Room is the only space that does not have an elevator.

Only in some circumstances. We have a corkage fee for specialty/sentimental wines and liquor. We have our own licensing for all other food and beverage needs!

Yes, plenty of parking for all guests who stay at the lodge or additional guests coming for the day's celebration!

Depending on your booking, ceremonies are typically held from 4pm-5pm and receptions 5pm-10pm!

A small airport with connecting flight capability is located out of Wenatchee at the Pangborn airport, 2 hours from SML. Additionally, Sea-Tac, is 4-5 hours drive from SML. Although our property is a distance from major airports, the drive to our property is worth every second with its beautiful scenery and picturesque moments.

One-day event Liability insurance is required for all our major wedding bookings.

If a guest count is over 50 guests (including couple), the couple must hire or acquire a dedicated person(s) to conduct operations at their wedding, not meant to be performed by Sun Mountain Lodge. This individual may not be a member of event or participate in drinking alcohol during the scheduled event.

Your fur baby is more than welcome. Just let us know in advance, so we can accommodate your pup. Our Paterson Lake cabins are dog friendly for you or any of your guests.
