About this venue

St. John Studios is a multifunctional warehouse in North Austin suitable for production rentals, weddings, dinner parties, music performances, and other private events. The space is comprised of a series of rooms and outdoor spaces featuring salvaged wood, concrete floors, and high ceilings. The studio houses a large main hall, two bar areas, a loft and two photography/video studio spaces. Most renters mix and match depending on the needs of their events. Onsite parking available up to 40 cars, as well as close proximity to Austin MetroRail.

The Shed Bar and Courtyard

With a sliding door that opens to the courtyard as well as an outdoor serving bar to the courtyard, the shed bar is flexible for all your needs!

The Shed Bar & Courtyard functions best for fair weather, outdoor oriented events - though renters can combine with The Great Hall for a rain plan. The Shed Bar opens to the courtyard with large sliding doors and can function as a walk-up bar, while the Beer Garden can be used as a lounge area boasting high top standing tables and a service bar.

The Courtyard

Wide open spaces with a covered area as well as access to the Shed Bar, The Cantina and The Great Hall.

The courtyard at St Johns is the perfect place to set up an out door dining experience, seating for a ceremony, or to just sit and take in the atmosphere. With access to the Shed Bar and the Great Hall, all activity flows freely through The Courtyard. The gates to the courtyard also open for food truck and delivery access.

The Cantina

The Cantina is the perfect cocktail spot to begin or end a wonderful event.

The Cantina boasts a colorful backdrop of deep blue hues and tropical plants. The room consists of an L-shaped bar counter, plus bar seating along one side wall and a community table. The bar opens up to a covered porch area, with access outside via a sliding garage door.

Great Hall

Rustic, reclaimed, beautiful. The Great Hall never fails to impress.

The Great Hall is perfect for dinners, meetings, wedding ceremonies, large cocktail parties, or dancing. Two sliding garage doors allow easy access to our courtyard for a more indoor/outdoor flow. A lofted area above the hall is an ideal performance space for a live band, DJ, or theater.
