About this venue

The SoWa Power Station is a masterpiece of late-industrial glamor. Built in 1891 as the world’s largest power generating plant, it produced enough electricity to run the West End Street Railway. The century-old property’s structural elements have since been rescued and restored, transforming it into a blank canvas for community, celebration, and innovation. Our spaces allow couples and their planners to bring their wedding vision to life. Whether it be to lean into the industrial allure or completely transform the space to match the couple's esthetic, the Power Station is the ideal venue to make this happen.

Main Floor rental ranges from $7,500 to $23,500 based on the season and day. Saturday events start at $17,625, while Friday and Sunday load-in/out days are $10,875 each. Weekdays start at $7,500, with Thursdays/Fridays at $9,375 and Sundays at $13,875.

Mezzanine

An Intimate Space for Gatherings and Celebrations

Our chic second floor Mezzanine is a more intimate gathering place with sweeping views overlooking the main room. Occupying 2 rooms connected by a stunning rotunda – a relic of the 252 foot tall chimney that used to stand on the spot. The Mezzanine is ideal for hosting a private party, all-day meeting, or cocktail reception. You may also use this space in conjunction with your Main Floor rental as a private suite, break out room, or staging area.
