About this venue
Spanning over 200 acres Southwick's Zoo is New England's largest zoological experience. With several venues to choose from like our enchanting Deer Forest, Tented Pavilion overlooking the African Plains or the Daniel's Room with it's fire place adorned patio, you will be able to customize the perfect day for you and your guests. Food and service is provided by our onsite restaurant, Galliford's Restaurant & Tavern. Don't forget to book the Skyfari for your sunset cocktail hour!

The Deer Forest
The Most Enchanting Ceremony Location in New England
The Deer Forest is a natural 35 acre New England habitat for our Fallow and Sika deer. Our free-roaming deer love to say hello to your guests and create a beautiful backdrop for your vows. The natural landscape, golden light and tranquil setting create a romantic, one of a kind ceremony venue. Following your ceremony our keepers will be on hand to help your photographer capture the most magical photos.

The Giraffe Habitat is a one of a kind ceremony location right in the heart of the Giraffe Habitat.

The Siamang Habitat
Mico Weddings in the Wild
The Siamang habitat is out in the Wild at Southwick's. The perfect location for a cocktail hour, micro wedding dinner, or event a ceremony. Weather permitting the Siamang will be swinging by in the windows overlooking their habitat. The space sparkles at night with twinkle lights and a fire pit.

The Tented Pavilion
Open Air Tented Pavilion Overlooking the African Plains
While dancing the night away beneath the Tented Pavilion you will be able to overlook the Zebra and Ostrich in the African Plains. Roast marshmallows by the firepits or enjoy the lush green grass and gazebo nearby.

Best Venue
Southwick is not only a great place to go for a fun summer activity, but it was also the best venue I could have ever asked for. They are beyond helpful throughout the whole process- beginning to end. Sarah is an amazing coordinator in every sense of the word. Heather is incredible at what she does as well, really loved having her as my bridal attendant. They did a beautiful job with my wedding and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Southwick!
Musical Entertainment
Our country band was hired by Sarah at Zola for a series of musical performances during the summer of 2020. All communications were clear and concise. Payment for services was fair and prompt. As this was during the Covid pandemic, we had multiple conversations regarding the safety of both the performers and the guests and all of our concerns were taken very seriously. Sarah was a pleasure to work with and we hope to be able to work future events together
Stunning Wedding
Forever grateful. Our intimate covid wedding was planned flawlessly in three weeks. The food was amazing. The cake was to die for! The deer forest was magical. And Sara in the events dept, was the cause of it all. Thank you so much. It was truly perfect.
