About this venue

Sophia’s Place is a rustic wedding venue located in Lubbock, Texas. This historic warehouse is owned and operated by Amber Peters, who restored it through hard work and the help of her three daughters. Amber is a Lubbock native who is proud to have opened a venue where her neighbors and community members can host elegant celebrations. She named the event space after her youngest daughter, who is a reminder to her that God is generous at all times. Amber invites couples to wed in this magnificent hall, where they will be surrounded by historic charm and industrial-chic luxury.

The Space

Sophia’s Place is a rustic wedding venue located in Lubbock, Texas.

Sophia’s Place can accommodate weddings of up to 250 guests in its beautiful ballroom. This banquet hall is characterized by original exposed brick walls that bring a retro and romantic atmosphere to the space. Large windows on one wall and high windows on the other let in lots of natural light, which bathes the floors in a warm glow. As guests dine and dance in the sunlight, they will also be enchanted by the breathtaking chandeliers that glitter above. These wrought iron light fixtures drip with crystals and complement the vintage arbor that can be used for ceremonies. Throughout the night, loved ones can also step outside to catch a breath and socialize on the quaint patio. Here, they can sip cocktails and sample hors d’oeuvres as stars twinkle down on them from the vast West Texas sky.

Included in this room:

Rental of Sophia’s Place comes with exclusive access to the property from 10 am on the day of your wedding until midnight. Packages include 10 60-inch round tables, 20 rectangular tables, and 200 chairs that can be configured for ceremonies and receptions. In addition, the building is equipped with a fully functional kitchen where you or your chosen caterer can prepare food and drinks. Alcohol can be brought in, but must be accompanied by a TABC bartender and an off-duty officer. Two get-ready suites are also available for you and your wedding party to get dressed and made up in ahead of the festivities.
