About this venue
This historic space has been outfitted with every modern amenity to be the ideal space to host the perfect wedding. We provide a non-traditional venue so that our clients have a blank slate to start from and can make the space their own. Without any décor, the soaring ceilings and cement walls feel "industrial chic" but clients can transform the space with glitz and glam, rustic touches, romantic lighting, modern lines, whimsical details, and vintage furniture. If you can dream it, it can be done at Olio. Located just North of Boston, Massachusetts, in the heart of New England, the venue is conveniently located and easily accessible to Logan Airport and nearby accommodations and attractions. The magic of Olio
Walking into Olio for the first time, you get the overwhelming feeling that this is no ordinary space that within its walls holds a sense of magic waiting to come alive. I booked Olio on the spot after my afternoon tour and conversation with Sarah, the owner, who knows how very special Olio is, and is so excited to share that magic with you. My wedding went off "Without a Hitch" and that was all because of Sarah and her amazing team, who's professionalism and passion is unmatched. Family and friends are still talking about Olio and how amazing, unique and altogether magical it was! As the wedding concluded and I stepped out of the doors of Olio, I carried with me, the tremendous joy of living out my dream wedding and immense gratitude for Sarah, not only for her diligence, kindness and passion, but for also allowing me to share in the extraordinary and magnetic space that is OLIO.

We had the most perfect wedding celebration this past weekend all thanks to Sarah and the rest of the Olio staff. We could not picture having our wedding anywhere else and now that it is over we know it was the best and only choice for us. The professionalism of the staff starting with the owner cannot be overstated. They were always responsive and accommodating to any and all questions we had no matter how minor. The ability to rent out the space for the entire weekend made our dream and vision come true. We were able to have a fun time setting up the space exactly how we wanted it the day before and were able to bring in all our DIY items without feeling rushed. It really made the one day event into a fun filled weekend! From over a year ago taking a tour of the space all the way to last weekend's festivities, Sarah and her team were there for us and we could not have asked for a more magical and special day.

From the moment we inquired about hosting our wedding at Olio: Modern / Industrial Event Space, the team was punctual, informative, and incredibly responsive. Their customizable event spaces allowed us to create an intimate, open atmosphere that felt tailored just for us. The Olio staff worked seamlessly as a team to ensure every detail of our special day went off without a hitch. We could not have asked for a more perfect venue to celebrate our marriage!

We got married here on Sunday 9/29 and I really can’t say enough good things about this space. The team was great to work with and all of our guests were so impressed by the space because it’s not like anything else really. I LOVED having the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one room because we wasted almost no part of our day shepherding folks from place to place. The caterer recommended to us, Premier, was also amazing and they were on it and had many great suggestions to make the day as great as possible as they work in the space often. If you want outdoor photos before we found two great little parks to work with and ended up doing our first look and family portraits at “Leather City Commons” which is a three minute drive down the street. Then the two of us walked the ten minute walk back to Olio from there and got some great photos by Peabody City Hall and there are truly a plethora of great brick walls to choose from for a good backdrop! For getting ready we stayed at the Bell Inn and Tavern and their team was also amazing! I got ready in a Junior King Suite my parents were staying in and their team flipped the bridal suite early (as they had a wedding party the night before) so we could do bridal portraits with the moms and my sister. My husband and I stayed there that night and the room is gorgeous. My only regret with that space is we didn’t stay longer because it was so beautiful!!! (And the room service food we ordered from the tavern for lunch was great!) Shout out specifically to Kelsey and Heather for all of their help. Logistically I was a little nervous about it being in Peabody as we live closer to Boston but parking is free on Sundays and folks could Uber easily to the venue. Many out of town folks loved being able to stay near Salem to make it a great weekend trip. Last, I cannot recommend enough having a day of coordinator. I know Sarah who runs Olio has her own planning company and would be amazing to work with. I was lucky enough to have an amazing coworker and friend who helped me out and I literally gave him a binder with everything and I did not stress about anything for the entire day. I did not see my cell phone or get asked a single logistics question all day and it was GLORIOUS. I think that covers everything and will absolutely update if I think of anything else that can help out future brides considering this great space!!!
