Blanco's famous Old Blanco County Courthouse, a Texas Historic Landmark, anchors the square at the heart of downtown. Let our Grand Old Lady be the elegant setting for your wedding or special event. Located only one hour from Austin and San Antonio in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, this is the perfect place for an event unlike any other. We can also assist with wedding planning, catering, photographers, and all your wedding needs! Individuals and organizations may reserve the courthouse and/or grounds with rental by day or by hour.

The beautiful old courtroom is a popular site for weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, seminars, meetings, movie shoots, and other special events in the Texas Hill Country. A fully-equipped kitchen is available for courthouse activities. The grounds are used for a variety of outdoor events. Rental rates for use of the courthouse include use of the kitchen, bathrooms, elevator, common hallways, stairs, water, and electricity.

The Grounds

Our grounds offer an ample space, great for a variety of outdoor events!

Hold your event outside on the grounds of the Old Blanco County Courthouse, in the middle of the Blanco Square. There's easy access via US Highway 281, which runs along the west side of the grounds, and parking around the square. Outdoor electrical hookups are available for activities on the grounds.

    Perfect venue for a DIY friendly wedding. No preferred vendors, requirements for licensed party planners, etc. Noel and Victoria made the whole experience easy and casual. There’s an attached kitchen for food prep, a bridal sweet, an elevator for easy loading/unloading, chairs/table’s available for a reasonable price as well. We were able to coordinate getting into the space the day before for set up. The only issue was getting security set up for the day of. You have to work with the local police department and i didn’t even know if they were actually coming until they showed up. But Noel personally spoke to the chief for me and ensured it wouldn’t be an issue.
