Set amid an unexpected wooded haven in SW Portland, Nordia House embodies all the best in contemporary Nordic design. Natural materials blend with floor-to-ceiling windows to create beautiful, clean lines that reflect and enhance the stunning grounds. Nordic Northwest & Broder Söder Catering have a dedicated team to make your event a success. During the summer, the indoor areas may be augmented with three outdoor patios and an adjoining one-acre lawn area for less formal settings, making your options even more exciting.

There is parking for up to 75 cars. Weddings receive exclusive parking availability after 5pm.

Yes! We have a step-free main entrance with ADA wheelchair access to the building. To reach the outdoor ceremony sites, there are step-free packed gravel walkways to the lawns. We offer two ADA-compliant parking spots, 1 is van accessible and can offer to reserve more spaces by contacting the Rental Coordinator. Weddings receive exclusive parking in our lots for a total of 75 spaces. Restrooms are also accessible.

Yes, we have a full-liquor license and you can work with Broder Catering to bring in your specialty wine, beer, or other alcohol. Broder will serve your self-purchased alcohol with a corkage fee.

Yes, we require all events to obtain general liability event insurance with Nordic Northwest listed as an additional insured. These policies may be purchased through our insurance broker or found online. If you have an umbrella policy through your homeowner's insurance, you may already have this coverage; please check with your insurance agent.

Your reservation includes ten hours of exclusive use. Wedding reservations start at 1pm or 2pm to ensure you receive the best experience possible as we share our campus with Broder Soder restaurant which operates daily until 3pm and we host many daytime Nordic cultural programs.

We include 10-hour exclusive use of the property including interior spaces and exterior lawn spaces, use of our "get ready room" for the wedding party, our in-house rental inventory of 60 inch. table rounds that seat 8 (up to 16 tables available), indoor-only chairs for seating up to 175, 6 ft. folding tables (up to 20 available), bistro/cocktail tables (6 available), standing easels (up to 6 available), 2 wireless microphones and sound system, projector, parking for up to 75 cars.
