About this venue

The Mather Building is located at 30 S. Magnolia Avenue. It is a three-story building constructed by Edward Kuhl and James Delaney. The structure predates the major 1884 fire which began in Delaney’s nearby wooden grocery store, spread to Bassett’s Millinery Store and then to Dr. R.J. Gilliam’s Drug Store. The large fire also destroyed the printing plant of the Reporter, Orlando’s first newspaper.

Mathers Social Gathering

A stylish, dark wood, exposed brick filled hideaway housed on the third floor of a vintage furniture store from the late 1800s. Designed as a social gathering, Mathers promotes group interaction in a sophisticated yet comfortable setting. Ample parlor seating allows patrons to relax with their friends and mingle with other guests while enjoying the swanky, historical atmosphere reminiscent of a late 1800's Orlando.
