About this venue

Cylburn Arboretum is one of Baltimore City's secret gems. Tucked away in northwest Baltimore, this 200+ acre property plays host to a diverse collection of flowering trees, annual and perennial garden beds, the greenhouse classroom, historic Cylburn Mansion, and Vollmer Visitor Center. Located just off of I-83, Cylburn Arboretum is near several well known hotels and offers 124 parking spaces making it easily accessible for all of your guests. Here, you can host a garden ceremony, take photos in the historic mansion, and reception in the "green" modern industrial Vollmer Center. Or what about a tented reception? With three buildings and gardens within walking distance from each other, Cylburn lets you mix locations to create your dream event.

Vollmer Center

This environmentally savvy building offers floor to ceiling windows and modern industrial design.

During the day, clients can rent the lower lobby and auditorium privately. After 4PM, the upstairs lobby can be used at no additional cost. Access to the upstairs lobby is key to hosting the ceremony and reception in this single space. Host your ceremony in front of the 16' window wall overlooking the grounds, invite your guests upstairs for cocktail hour while your vendors reset the auditorium for your reception. You also have the option to host your ceremony in the gardens.

    My husband and I had a wonderful time working with Cylburn. They were flexible with catering ($500 fee to bring in an outside caterer with qualifications), affordable pricing, and very helpful staff that gave us ideas and tips for setting up a beautiful wedding. We used the outdoor patio next to the mansion for the ceremony and moved into the Vollmer Center for the cocktail hour and reception, which was able to host almost 200 people. Chairs and tables are included, but we decided to rent our own chairs for both reception and ceremony. Overall, it was a spectacular experience and not stressful, even though we did all of the planning on our own.
