About this venue

We believe that people see the problems our world faces and have the desire to help, but often don’t know where to start. So we started Cathedral with one goal in mind — to build something that’s the sole purpose of existing was to make this world of ours a more just and beautiful place. Building things that matter takes time. Cathedrals took generations to build — those who began the work didn’t see its completion. The architect who drew up the plans would never see their spires rise. The mason laying the bricks would never stand under their cover.

We can host a wide variety of events including — private parties, corporate meetings, fundraisers, and wedding receptions. This historic space features gorgeous finishes, exposed brick, marble bar-tops and two separate floors each with their own bar. The space includes a full kitchen for the caterer of your choice. We offer multiple options based on your unique event size and needs.

Its versatile layout and state-of-the-art equipment make it an ideal setting for a diverse range of occasions, each tailored to reflect the unique style and personality of our clients. The venue features elegant wooden tables that require no linens, enhancing the natural beauty of the space. Additionally, the fully equipped bar, complete with taps and glassware, is ready to accommodate any event's beverage needs. Cathedral is not only a visually stunning venue but also a place with a heart, dedicated to a meaningful cause.     Words cannot express how beautiful Cathedral is and how great it was to work with Nate (owner) and Jenn (Day of Coordinator). They are personable, professional and extremely communicative! Jenn was so so great. She was on it, kept calm, and eased any day of qualms I had. I LOVED working with her. We fell in love with the venue. In particular, the exposed brick, sky light and marble bar-tops. They also have great amenities that is included in the pricing (candles, glassware, linens, tables, chairs, etc.). You can also bring your own food and booze which helped us save a little bit of money! We found the price to be fair and loved their missions - Cathedral donates all profit to charities! We are so happy to be married, and will forever remember Cathedral as the place that made it happen!

    We (Shake Bars & Event Planning) provide bar and catering services at the Cathedral. Nate and his team are always so pleasant to work with with, easy to coordinate and communicate with, and just generally great people! The venue is gorgeous and has a great location in downtown Ballard. We offer discounts to Cathedral clients because we love them so much! :). Highly recommend!

    Cathedral was the perfect spot for our reception, and we’re so happy with both the party and the process of planning! Thanks to Nate, Liz, and the day of event staff for providing timely, friendly assistance throughout the planning process and helping us throw a party for our mostly out of town guests that was one to remember! Guests were commenting on the space all night, it’s such a fun venue - a beautiful bar filled with all your closest friends and family, who could ask for anything better??
