We are David and Rachel McKissic, the owners and photographers. We have been in business for 9 eventful years in Indianapolis, and beyond. We took a risk with no experience, a love for art, and a love for love. We made this decision after we said "I do". We were going to buy a couch but we opted to chase a dream. We are still chasing that dream and capturing so many amazing moments along the way. We have 3 wonderful children who are the fuel of our lives' drive. I (Rachel) am a lover of detail and David lives life on the edge. Together, we are a complementary couple and you'll definitely sense it when you work with us! Let's connect!

We are minorities in this industry as a husband and wife photography team but also as a black-owned business. We specialize in wedding and portrait photography but are always up for a creative challenge! Capturing those you love and the moments you care about most is our goal. No matter how your story unfolds we are here to help you create memories that will last a lifetime. Professional service and attention to detail are what we offer all of our clients. This is the sweet spot! Our couples now are able to fully experience Those McKissics as a dynamic duo! The engagement session also provides comfort as we plan and guide them through a photo shoot like no other. Many of our couples find this time pivotal to building their relationship with us and confidence in their ability to be photographed. Our couples are more relaxed, and comfortable, and gain confidence in themselves!

    We cannot speak highly enough of Rachel and David. They were so chill and amazing during both our engagement and wedding sessions. They were patient and kind in giving us direction and feedback during poses, but also adept at capturing the special off-guard moments. There were able to capture the absolute joy and raw emotion that we and our guests felt on our wedding day, and which we'll now remember forever because of them. We can't wait to work with them again.

    It was an absolute pleasure to work with Rachel and David on and leading up to our wedding day! From the moment I logged on to our first consultation with Rachel I knew we were in good hands. Her process for working with us was clear, straightforward, and attentive to detail. We were so glad that we were able to work with both Rachel and David and that they were willing to travel to South Bend, IN at a very reasonable cost. They were able to demonstrate poses together and each brought their own warmth and creativity to the shoot. They gave excellent directions and were exceptionally kind and patient with our family. The results are absolutely stunning - crisp, classic photos that celebrate our loved ones and even the smallest details of our wedding day! Our family and friends can't say enough about how wonderful they were to work with and how much they love the photos. We agree - we can't recommend Those McKissics highly enough!
