Hi, I’m Shannon! I’m a wandering photographer and a hopeless romantic; love stories are my inspiration, and being out in nature gives me life. After 10 years working in graphic design + product development, I’m finally following my heart to full-time photography, and I’m never looking back. With family in the Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, and Northwest USA, and friends located around the world, I have an outstanding flexibility (and passion) for travel to any destination of your dreams.

Sunrise coffee, summit beers, sunshowers, and waterfalls are my favorite things. I’ve shared tea and conversation with monks in Nepal, rode horseback across the Northern mountains of Iceland, swam rivers in the wilderness of South Africa, and gotten lost with locals from Hong Kong to China in search of the best street food and hidden alley restaurants. I’m not sure yet where my next adventure will take me, but I’m hoping it’s with you. I’m all in. Let's go ♥

    I am so happy we found Shannon to be our engagement and wedding photographer. We just got our engagement photos back and they are stunning. I can't wait to see what she does with the wedding. Shannon is super easy to work with - responsive, chill, and supportive without being pushy. My fiancé is not at all a picture guy and I knew the shoot would be a little bit of a drag for him. That said, one of the biggest compliments I can give Shannon is that he left our session feeling excited about the photos and not the least bit annoyed with anything! Sounds ridiculous but that is a big testament to the photographer. On top of that, her price is really fair. I highly recommend you check her out.

    Shannon photographed my wedding in November 2020. It was Covid (outdoor backyard wedding) and we had to change a lot of timelines and schedules, but she just rolled with it all. She made us feel at ease in front of the camera, and we had a great time overall with photos. Our photos are beautiful and I still show people her work when recommending her to other couples getting married in the area!

    I cannot recommend Runaway Photography enough! She made the entire process as seamless and easy as possible. She took care of the all of the communication with the venue and all we had to do was show up. She helped with angles and clearly explained everything that you’d never think of. Extremely professional and fun to work with!

    Shannon (AKA Runaway Photographer) took my engagement photos, and we loved working with her so much that we asked her to also photograph our elopement. She makes us feel so comfortable posing in front of the camera, and the images and emotions she captures are beautiful. Shannon took all of my favorite photos of my husband and I - I wish I could upload some with this review because you'd definitely agree!
