I’m a central Iowa based wedding and portrait photographer on a mission to capture joyful personalities and the moments where you can’t stop smiling. I love rural Iowa, dessert for breakfast, outdoor adventures, and I’m a total homebody. My approach to photography is simple. I strive to create memories that are true to life. If you’re looking for authenticity with a dash of small town USA, I think we’re going to be great friends.

My style of photography is not complicated, much like working with me. Over my 7 years in business, my most important goal has been to create an effortless experience that leads to images that you and those you love will treasure forever. I strive to capture true to life, unstaged moments as they unfold. No over-editing or fleeting trends, just classic photos you’ll love flipping through with your grandkids someday.

    We both enjoyed working with Katie for our engagement and wedding photos. She made everything feel effortless and took special attention to the little things that made a big difference.     As a fellow vendor working beside Katie (me on video, her on photo) on someone's big day, she is all you could ask for when working in conjunction with someone on a wedding day. She was friendly and completely respectful of the work I needed to do, even though we had to work at the same time and in the same spaces. She was open to communicating about our needs and overall contributed positivity to the process. Photo and Video do not always team up effortlessly and thankfully Katie made it easy to do so! As someone who got to watch Katie at work, she really made an effort to make sure her shots were going to be beautiful (moving things around, finding the right lighting, etc). She was also so supportive and really hyped the couple up throughout the whole day, not only making them comfortable, but confident. I 100% enjoyed working with Katie and hope to do so again!
