We are Kaila + JP Jakes! We're high school sweethearts based in Orlando, FL but we love to travel and shoot in new places! We combine true emotions and an editorial style to create a timeless + bold collection of images. We are picture-takers because the process constantly reminds us to celebrate life and beauty, and the One who created it. Our goal is to help you see the beautiful human that you are, to bring you confidence and encouragement so that you can BE YOU and DO YOU because that is enough.

We are here to serve you + make your wedding day as fun and stress free as possible. Through out this process and on your wedding day we aim to be a joyful, relaxing presence, approachable with a smile and professional + trustworthy. We call ourselves “documenters” because we photograph what is ACTUALLY happening so that you can ENJOY + live in the moments of the day rather than have us create the moments for you.

    When you book with Kartsie Photography you will be guaranteed to get more than Wedding Photography. You will be getting two new best friends, they will be your cheerleaders, your hype team, your support system and even help to make sure your day is running smoothly and on time. We met Kaila & JP of Kartsie Photography over 3 years ago at my best friend's wedding. They were hired as her photography team and as Maid of Honor I got to spend a lot of time with them and loved how comfortable they made everyone feel and how natural and easy it was. When the pictures actually came back, I was wowed. The natural lifestyle feel of the photography felt so much more special than any wedding photography I had seen, and it also helps that their personalities are absolute magic! Flash forward to my own engagement and the very first people we texted (after our parents) were Kaila & JP to make sure we could book them for our own wedding!! We actually picked Kartsie before we picked a date and although we already knew we loved their work getting to spend the day with them for our own special day just reminded us how amazing of a decision we made.     Working with Kaila and JP was an absolute DREAM! From our engagement session to our wedding day the two of them made us feel so comfortable during every photoshoot we did. Their communication throughout the process was so lovely and they took all of our inspiration and ideas and went above and beyond. We had only met talked on the phone a few times before meeting them in person but once we were with them they felt like old friends and we had so much fun with them. They are just two of the sweetest people and so easy to work with! Kaila’s sense of style in creating our engagement photos was amazing and on our wedding day each photo captured the emotions and small real moments of the day that are endlessly special. They bring such a beautiful sense of calm with them that is so nice as the wedding day can feel overwhelming. Every single photo we got back was edited perfectly and we got soooooo many back I couldn’t believe it. Kaila and JP are the PERFECT wedding photographers and not to mention that my husband actually enjoyed taking photos!     I booked Kartsie photography for my international wedding in Italy after seeing their amazing work at my bestfriends wedding. We worked out a package that fit our needs, and flew them out to celebrate our day with us. It was MAGIC. they took incredible photos & BTS shots & we haven’t even seen everything just yet.
