Welcome to Emily Joy Photography// Bright, bold, and colorful. Southern California based photography capturing weddings, family, and individuals. My mission is to capture great photos of you and help you feel confident while doing so! What I love most about photography is watching how it can boost confidence. I love working with people and watching them let loose and have fun during our shoots. I am prepared to guide and equip you with confidence and plenty of prompts/poses! I relate providing a gallery of beautiful photos to making an amazing home cooked meal. I put my heart and soul into it and love watching others enjoy it!

Why weddings? I strongly believe love is one of the best gifts from God. There are many important things in life, but at the end of the day: who you go home to and who fills your cup is what you will remember. I love doing weddings and engagements because of the relationships I build with people. I get to know them and tell their love story through beautiful pictures. At weddings I am there to help you enjoy your day and capture all the love between you and your spouse, friends, and family. I love getting a glimpse into the personal lives of people, hearing the speeches and funny stories, and helping you feel confident and beautiful!

    Emily was an amazing photographer to work with! We booked her for our wedding and it came with an engagement shoot. She communicated clearly and sent us a list of what to expect before meeting her. Our engagement shoot was SO much more than we could have hoped for! She provided us with multiple locations to choose from and listened to what we wanted. Spring forward to the wedding, she arrived early to our venue and took pictures before guests arrived. Our picture turned out absolutely Amazing!!! She also allowed us to select poses from Pinterest that was wanted incorporated into our session. Will definitely be using for for future photo sessions! Thank you so much Emily for capturing all the moments from the best day of our lives!

    Emily was absolutely wonderful to work with! She offered a free engagement shoot with the 8 hour wedding day package and we jumped at it. We had a meeting with her ahead of the engagement shoot which helped the day go smoothly. We felt very at ease with her which allowed us to get some really cute photos. She had a very calming and easy-going presence that made it a fun time to get our photos. Ahead of the wedding day itself, she again met with us to discuss photo options. I gave her a shot list of everything I wanted to get as well as a Pinterest board full of ideas, and she made sure to get all of them and more! I would highly recommend her if you're looking for a photographer.
