Hi, I’m Carson, and I’m based in Columbia, SC! I have been photographing weddings and elopements for over seven years across the country. I recently moved to South Carolina from California, where I lived in Yosemite National Park. While my primary focus is wedding photography, I am also a biologist, which brought me to this beautiful state. I love expressing my creative side through photography and witnessing the joy it brings to my clients. I specialize in a blend of editorial and documentary-style photography. I aim to capture natural moments as the day unfolds, but I’m also happy to give gentle guidance when needed.

I am all about candid photos and being present in the moment! I am here to capture your real and authentic connection, but if you need a little help I will guide you the whole way! I care about each and every one of my ‘clients’ and I am so invested in you and I want you to feel comfortable in front of the camera. My style is unique because I blend styles of fine art, editorial, colorful, candid, and documentary. I love weddings of any type and always look forward to experiencing weddings with different traditions and cultures.

Carson was the best photographer we could have asked for! She was super helpful and easy to work with. We really appreciated her flexibility and understanding since things do not always work out as planned. We booked her for both our engagement and wedding photos and both turned out absolutely amazing! We highly reccomend her!

Carson Lillard Photography was the perfect choice for our wedding day. From the beginning, their communication was thorough, helpful, and insightful, which put us at ease during the planning process. On the day of, Carson made an obnoxious trek to join us at our Airbnb and was so calm, cool, and collected - just what I needed as a nervous mess! Her relaxed and experienced demeanor was invaluable. The quality of her work is truly unique, affordable, and beautiful. I'm so glad we found Carson for our big day - she was a great fit for our elopement at Yosemite!
