Best Wishes is a husband and wife photo and video team, recently re-local to Portland, ME. We specialize in candid imagery in a documentary style with a tender bent- and offer video and still photography. We shoot on film and in digital formats, for a nostalgic feel. We pride ourselves on storytelling, cultivating sincerity and authenticity in our work, and making folks feel comfortable and confident on camera. Our ideal client is someone who values connection, who is looking for something unique, who treasures a tender photo of a loved one laughing, who leans into a little nostalgia, and who needs all the social media crops!

We're here for the anti-brides, the weirdos, the musicians and the artsty kids with dreams of looking like rock stars on their special day. We always listen, we lead with kindness, and we help everyone look and feel like the best version of themselves.

Lets collaborate on a custom approach that captures the tone of the day. 70’s film vibes? Rolling Stone inspired Black and whites? Caravaggio? We can create cohesive photos and video that tell the story. Plus we’ll design one fun custom asset: Think wedding zine, A newsprint photo bifold, or a Polaroid book. Packages include candid documentation of the event. This isn’t a play-by-play recording of your ceremony and reception, it’s a touching picture of the event as a whole.

    Cecile as amazing to work with. After talking and seeing multiple photographers portfolios Cecile was an easy choice. Her eye for documenting our big day was beyond the planned staged photos. She captured all the great moments we would have missed if it wasn’t for her. Family gather before, meet ups inbetween and precious moments during. She was hands down the easiest person to talk with about our vision and seamlessly navigated getting ready, ceremony, and after party photos. We have several photos up in our house and they are everything we wished for.

    I would highly recommend Cecile and Andrew and their business, Best Wishes Studio.
