    I chose Pin Me up Chicago basically because when I started reaching out to individual artists, I realized the price of them was getting way outside my budget. I didn't realize how expensive Hair & make Up would cost in the city of Chicago. I found PinMeUp from a friend referral and she had all positive things to say. I appreciated the lower cost and ability to pick specific services. They were very accommodating when I had to change my trials last minute due to a family emergency which I very much appreciated, and Jennifer, the primary contact, would respond in an efficient amount of time and would update the contract as I added and removed certain services which was nice to not be fully locked in as things changed. I ultimately chose them because of that more affordable cost. However, with a cheaper cost does create drawbacks. You don't get a say in who does your hair and makeup, and you can't see their work in advance, and they don't allow you to speak to them directly post the trial. At my trial, my make up artist, Mimi, was certainly skilled and you can tell as been doing this awhile. I do appreciate that she took my feedback and would adjust. Between the trial and the wedding, she really did take that feedback and knocked it out of the park at the wedding. My make up lasted all day, and she was even able to cover a vitiligo spot on my chest so it is barely noticeable. If given a choice, I would say you should ask for Mimi! She did a great job with my bridesmaids as well and could add glam when needed and also very light make up when requested. For my hair, I actually only had small feedback post trial, but she really struggled day of the wedding. I'm not sure what happened but it took an hour longer than it should have, my extension didn't stay hooked in so I had to fix them, and all the curl completely fell out in one hour and I had to recurl it prior to the ceremony. I don't love my hair from the wedding and I'm hoping over the years it won't bother me so much. She did however so great with my bridesmaids so I am not sure what happened with my bridal hair. Ultimately, you get a little of what you pay for, so if I could go back in time, I might have gone with a hair stylist that I knew could do the style that I wanted and just accepted the cost. Overall, it is a good budget friendly option for hair and make up.

    Pin Me Up Chicago made the booking of Hair and Make-Up services simple, reliable, and a boost of confidence. They were quick to respond and had great pricing. Dana and Jessica were always ready to respond to a text and were flexible when we had to change locations a week before the wedding. The stylists were on time, professional, and very friendly. They were ready to accommodate any request made and even redid a couple of bridesmaids' hair when they were not 100% happy with the results. I also had the hairstylist come back and do touch-ups after the ceremony before the reception which allowed for a quick "outfit" change by changing my hair without having to have a second dress. I would absolutely recommend Pin Me Up as a vendor and would use them again for any event!

    Liz did the makeup for me and 7 other bridesmaids/attendants and she was so amazing! Everyone’s makeup looked great and Liz made me look so natural but still glowy and beautiful. She was also fast and was consistently ahead of schedule which was such a relief. Pin Me Up was also easy to book with and their online portal was also easy to work within.

    My bridal party and I had the BEST experience with Pin Me Up! They did a trial for my bridal hair and makeup and were really responsive to all of the feedback/pictures that I offered. My hair and makeup looked exactly the same on my wedding day as they did on the day of my trial. The stylists came straight to my hotel room, set up and started right away. They were so friendly and helpful and we had a wonderful time getting ready with them! I had 8 bridesmaids + a flower girl and my mother and we were done way before the end of our time -- we never felt rushed and we all had plenty of time for touch-ups if needed before the stylists left. All of my bridesmaids were extremely happy with their hair and makeup (as was my mother who can be quite picky!) and the stylists do such a great job of adjusting throughout based on someone's feedback. Pricing had been a really big deal to me. Since so many of my bridesmaids were traveling so far and spending money to be here, I didn't want them to have to spend a ton more money if they wanted hair and makeup done. Pin Me Up was super reasonable and it ended up being less than $200 for both hair and makeup per person. That's a really good deal in Chicago and worth the money because my hair and makeup lasted the whole day! I never even thought about having to reapply. Highly, highly recommend Pin Me Up!
