Out of high school, I went directly to cosmetology school. My first hairdressing job landed me on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills at Jose Eber. Not a bad place to start. I moved around a bit until I found a salon that I was happy with. I worked in Malibu, where I had a good high end clientele. But I lived for the weddings and prom days. So Fairytale was born. I made a website, got a booth at a bridal show, and the response was overwhelming. Then I decided I needed to find other artists with the same passion and talent to work with. Thats when I started Fairytale Hair and Makeup!

    Kelly was amazing! She came directly to me for our makeup trial, which made things so much easier in the midst of wedding planning. Day of, she was right on time arriving to our rental condo & she did a great job staying on track - which is saying a lot, as three of my bridesmaids have very thick hair! She did hair for my bridesmaids & my makeup. Everyone's hair held up well throughout the long day, and my makeup stayed BEAUTIFUL despite the summer heat & long hours. She did a great job of helping me reach a natural low-key glam look that fit in so well.

    Fairytale Hair and Makeup’s pricing was very good and reasonable when compared with quotes from other wedding beauty professionals. The communication and instructions were straightforward. Tara and Frances did hair and makeup for myself, my mom, two SILs, and MIL. They arrived right on schedule and got straight to business. I didn’t do a bridal trial yet they brought everybody’s inspiration pictures to life. My hairstyle and makeup held up very well. Frances provided me with a touch up kit that included the same lip product she used on me and even gave me lash glue so my necklace could stay in place. They were a fun pair of ladies to get ready with especially on a rainy day.

    Tara and Lizz were so wonderful! Booking was clear and response time was so fast! Great communication. Everyone looked so beautiful and they perfectly executed each girl’s vision. Plus they were so fast & efficient we were ahead of schedule! So we were able to calmly enjoy the day. Highly recommend!

    Fairytale Hair and Makeup exceeded my expectations. I’m someone who doesn’t wear a ton of makeup and was worried I wouldn’t look like myself on my wedding day. They made me feel so comfortable and listened to my fears. Both hair and makeup were so friendly and efficient. I was done within an hour and I looked SO naturally beautiful.
