Mikasa Nikkei

Mikasa Nikkei is a new concept and style of food in North Carolina. It brings exciting and unique flavors from the Peruvian-Japanese fusion born in Peru at the beginning of the 20th century. It adds to the diversity of food and culture so loved and welcomed in Asheville, NC, a city of foodies and enthusiasts of new cultures. We want to add Peruvian-Japanese flavors to the extensive culinary culture that already exists in this beautiful city, and work with local farmers, not only to adapt their products to our dishes but also to grow our Peruvian Chilis, potatoes, etc. in the local farms.

What set us apart is the fusions we offer. Whether is New American (Mikasa Americana), Chinese (Mikasa Chifa), Italian (Mikasa Nostra), BBQ (Mikasa BBQ), Japanese (Mikasa Nikkei), or Creole (Mikasa Criolla), all our menus include Peruvian ingredients that elevate the depth of flavor of our food. Peru has a diverse number of microclimates and soil conditions that allow the growth of various vegetables, fruits and other crops very valuable for an extensive gastronomy.
