Edible Art Bakery & Dessert Café grew from the old Southern pound cake recipes of eastern North Carolina. The family-owned business of scratch made desserts continues with not only traditional tiered cakes, but also custom individualized dessert bars. Book a take-home tasting or visit the café to let us help bring your dessert inspiration to life!

Edible Art is a dessert café and bakery known for our scratch-made pound cake. We also have a large variety of mini desserts that can be used to create a custom dessert bar such as macarons, cupcakes, pies, cheesecakes, brownies, cookies, parfaits and so much more. We love working with each couple and/or family to plan out a custom dessert/cake that everyone can enjoy.

    I worked with Mindy to design our wedding cake. I gave her a few pictures I found for inspiration and let the artist do their work and the results were lovely. Not only was the cake delicious, but it fit in well with our small wedding at the butterfly conservatory at the Durham Life and Science Museum during COVID. Our guests loved the cake and my husband and I were so happy with the way it turned out. I wouldn’t hesitate to return to their bakery for more specialty cakes.
