One of the earliest U.S. Post Offices in North Carolina still stands strong today. It was a community where people gathered, shared news and good times. Built in 1874, the renovated original Cabin structure serves as a unique visual reminder of those simpler times. The Cabin and the Post Office are on the National Register of Historic Places. The vast scenic views of the North Carolina countryside along with the grandness of our 150 year old Oak trees do not go unnoticed, and at night, the stars light up the sky. Down a gravel road, surrounded by lush fields is a sweet & elegant, unique, farm venue. With a pond & a goose or two, we can make your event amazing! Doug and Cindy Carroll opened the venue in 2005 with the first wedding being held in 2006. Doug’s grandson, Paul, now takes care of the property and his wife Monica handles the day to day operations and even coordinates some of the weddings. The front or back lawn of the lodge provide an intimate and regal setting for your event. The Moongate, which symbolizes everlasting love, nestled between The Lodge and The Grange, accomodating 200. Foxtail Lake has a beautiful view of the sunset and also accomodates 200.
