“We absolutely loved Forest Park Golf Course! They were so willing to work with the theme/ decorations we had in mind, and never made us feel like we were asking too many questions or bringing too much decor over! Our coordinator, Tram-anh, was amazing! She communicated well all through the wedding process, and was there to help it run smoothly all night. She kept checking in on us and asking if we needed/ wanted anything, which we so appreciated! The wedding day goes so fast, I definitely recommend having a Tram-anh to help it flow smoothly! The food was AMAZING, and Chef was willing to work with us on a custom menu. We had hot dogs and mini sliders amongst other things, and everyone kept raving about the food all night! “We hired DJ Rachel for our wedding reception in October 2022. From our first call through the event, we enjoyed the experience and appreciated her support! Rachel was very helpful during the planning stage. Her thoughtful questions helped us determine what we wanted from the evening, and Rachel gave us key input on the schedule of events. Rachel thought critically about the energy of different events we wanted (ex: group photo, cake cutting, table dash) and provided suggestions for best flow. Rachel was organized, responsive, and communicated clearly. We appreciated Rachel's suggestions on how to pick songs for our "want to play" list - it was a fun trip down memory lane, and probably our favorite part of wedding planning! On the day of our event, Rachel's leadership made the day go smoothly. Rachel was prepared, organized, and energetic. She seamlessly guided us, the other vendors, and the wedding party through the evening, and gave the wedding party notice on the next events (like their speeches!). This allowed us and our wedding party to focus on enjoying the day instead of the schedule. Rachel encouraged us to try a "Table Dash" - going to each table of guests for a quick photo while one song plays. It was so fun, and Rachel's willingness to try this idea (and seamless execution) was critical to making it happen. This also allowed us to get at least one photo with each guest, a treasured memory. Rachel's mix of experience, enthusiasm, and calming presence helped the first few hours of our wedding run smoothly. During the dancing time, we could not have been more happy with how DJ Rachel performed. Her energy was so fun and kept our guests dancing all night! Rachel read the room to keep things flowing and played the perfect mix of throwbacks, slow songs, and hits from our list of songs. We appreciated how DJ Rachel was thoughtful of the guest age/types regarding explicit and mature songs. DJ Rachel had high quality equipment and lights, including speakers for the outside garden area and two microphones. Multiple guests asked us if DJ Rachel was in the wedding party, and also asked where we found such a great DJ. More than one guest said "best wedding DJ ever", and we agree wholeheartedly! Rachel also supported our "vow renewal", a surprise for our guests! We would not have done this without Rachel's support and encouragement, and it was a blast! One example from the dance floor - DJ Rachel played "Copperhead Road" and led the dance floor in the line dance. The dance includes rotating so a different part of the dance floor is the "front" throughout the song. DJ Rachel ran around the dance floor to lead as the group turned, so guests could always see her to follow the line dance steps. I have never seen a DJ put in that much effort - it was incredible and helped people really get down the steps and have fun in the dance. Just one example of how DJ Rachel went above and beyond to make the day successful. Rachel made working together remotely easy. We planned our wedding from out of state, and Rachel was integral to making this successful - phone calls, zoom calls, a google doc were all tools that Rachel used to facilitate the long distance planning. Rachel also accepted Venmo which made paying easy (no need to remember a check!). On important days like your wedding, you need a high quality team in your corner to help make the day run smoothly and meet your expectations. Rachel is that partner! We highly recommend DJ Rachel!”

Rice + Co. Events was founded in March 2022 as Charley Rice Weddings with the vision of bringing intimacy and personality back into weddings. Charley was ordained by the American Marriage Ministries that same month and began performing ceremonies shortly after. In January of 2023, she began accepting coordination clients as well. Since then the business has grown almost entirely from word-of-mouth. Currently, Charley Rice Weddings offers three comprehensive officiating packages and two comprehensive coordination packages in addition to event rentals, honeymoon planning, and other add-ons.

“If you're looking for a photographer for engagement pictures, a wedding photographer, or a photographer for any other occasion - stop looking! My fiance and I were visiting friends in AZ shortly after our engagement and we booked Maggie for an engagement shoot at sunset while we were there. To say that we are are OBSESSED with our pictures is an understatement. Maggie was so knowledgeable about the lighting at that time of day and utilized the whole landscape to get great pictures with different backgrounds, not JUST different poses from us. We didn't stay in the same spot during the session as she continued to create new angles to adjust to as the sun continued to set. I felt comfortable asking "hey can we try this!?" and Maggie was more than willing to get excited with us about capturing the kind of picture we had in our mind. Maggie also gave us alot of direction on how to maybe tilt our head, or move a hand over a little bit, or recognized that the shot wasn't going to be great so she just scratched it and moved to the next idea. This was extra helpful to me because I didn't have to "guess how to model" and I appreciated that she made good use of her and our time. Maggie works quickly to get a variety of poses and landscapes, is willing to travel, and seems to genuinely love what she does. Her excitement and direction made it fun and exciting for us too! 10/10 for our experience with Maggie!”

“My wedding was a little atypical, we planned the entire thing in less than two months, had a crowd of 30 family members present, and had EVERYONE take an hour car trip into the National Park for our ceremony. The photographer who would capture all our wonderful memories was by far the most important vendor to me, so Lexi was the first person I booked! And thank goodness I did because I couldn’t have picked a more wonderful person to handle the uniqueness of our celebration than her. Lexi dealt with one date change, two location changes, and much more as my husband and I went through the decision making process in our short timeline. Lexi handled it all flawlessly, and showed up ready to help make our day special even in the middle of her own pregnancy! She traveled from states away, and made the Indiana Jones-esque drive into the mountains, to go above and beyond to shoot for us. Not only that but she got our preview out in less than 24 hours from the close of our reception, lightning speed!
