  • Up to 500 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $15,000

Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum is housed in philanthropist and steel magnate Andrew Carnegie’s former mansion on museum mile. Built at the turn of the century, its fin de siècle interiors feature ornate coffered oak ceilings, carved boiserie paneling, custom-made wallcoverings, and a conservatory with Palladian bronze and glass doors. A top-to-bottom interior and exterior renovation sensitively restored the grandeur of the mansion’s exquisite craftsmanship and injected contemporary architectural features to transform one of New York’s grandest residences into a dynamic, dramatic setting for gatherings of all sizes. Situated on the highest point of Fifth Avenue with expansive views of Central Park, the mansion also enjoys one of the city’s largest enclosed gardens. The newly rejuvenated Arthur Ross Terrace and Garden have been redesigned to integrate contemporary landscape features with the garden’s historic plantings and are open year-round for tented or Plein-air events.

  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $40,000

Housed in a historic building, The Foundry provides an industrial-chic venue for weddings. The professional team ensures every detail is meticulously planned, making the event seamless and memorable. The venue also features a beautiful outdoor courtyard, perfect for cocktail hours and photos.

The Foundry is a beautiful venue and so easy to work with! Angela and Lindsey were so helpful and responsive. We couldn’t have picked a more beautiful setting, it was just perfect. My ONLY complaint is that even though they do not book any other events for the same time, they charge extra to book any rooms in addition to the main space and courtyard.

Carroll Hall
Brooklyn, NY
  • Up to 100 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,150

We love the city, but really need more time in nature. We assume most New Yorkers would agree. We created this space to allow our community a quiet space among plants, birds, insects, and urban wildlife. Carroll Hall is a warehouse space, garden, lounge, a skylit indoor room, catering kitchen, and discreet wooden “treehouse.” Discovery, wonder, and the unexpected are big themes. Whether an eccentric insect or vignette through a wall opening, we revel in curiosity. Ultimately, the garden is the heart of Carroll Hall; the promise of a quiet moment outside is our grounding force. See the COVID precautions we are taking in the rooms section.

Awarded Best of Zola
Smack Mellon is, to put it mildly, a wonderful venue. The brick interior and high ceilings (I believe it was an old boiler room dating from DUMBO's bygone industrial days well before West Elm) provides ample room for whatever you desire. We worked closely with Jessica, who was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She remained quite receptive to each of our many suggestions. Everyone at Smack Mellon was very accommodating, too, letting us drop off some items the day prior (this was an invaluable service amid standard pre-wedding chaos). Since the space is relatively blank, you can add to it, creating a wholly personal experience that properly reflects you and your event. And of course, there's the view of the Manhattan Bridge. If you're visiting the space, take the ferry. Easier than finding parking and nicer than the subway.

The space is really beautiful and just what we wanted for an intimate and lively party. It is so beautifully decorated, especially the floral mural, that it didn't really need much extra decoration from us. The sound system was great and easy to use too. The bridal party loved the suite upstairs to get ready and have a quiet moment in all the wonderful craziness. Really can't recommend the Pink Moon enough!!

Factoria at Charles Point

4.7

Peekskill, NY
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor

Factoria at Charles Point is a grand waterfront wedding event venue located in Peekskill, New York. This 34,000-square-feet event space includes a dance floor, a private catering hall, and a large balcony deck which is ideal for large gatherings. The venue is also conveniently located near the Metro North’s Hudson Line, which provides easy access for your out-of-town guests.

Factoria is a wonderful option if you are looking for an all-inclusive package in an industrial feeling venue outside of the city, with beautiful views of the Hudson River, and amazing food and drinks. The layout facilitates a lovely flow from arrival to ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception. Megan, the venue coordinator, was on top of everything and very involved in the planning and execution of our wedding. She is clearly experienced and helped everything move along seamlessly. She was available for questions and also offered input on various aspects of the wedding. Our entire experience from beginning to end was amazing: from touring the space for the first time, going in to the restaurant for our tasting, up until the day after our wedding when we picked up the leftover food that they packed for us without us even having to ask, along with all of our decorations and leftover items that they held for us. The food was amazing, as were the drinks and the service. The servers were very attentive to us as well as friendly and engaging. Our guests enjoyed everything, especially the concept of the lazy susan at each table for family style dinner. We are so happy we did not have to worry about very much Meghan and her team took care of everything, and even the chef at the tasting was incredibly involved, offering to tweak some of the menu items for us to accommodate for our culture and dietary concerns, and really make sure that our menu was what we wanted for our guests and for ourselves and our vision of our wedding. We would recommend anyone have their wedding here.
