Sarah was the dream fairy godmother of our wedding! From dress shopping to double checking details, she was there every single step of the way. Our venue really dropped the ball day of the wedding and Sarah made sure everything was perfect, picking extra work outside her role. Wedding planning is difficult, but having Sarah by my side put me at ease and actually allowed me to enjoy the big day. Our wedding will always be one of m favorite memories!

Liz was my make-up artist on my wedding day, and she was absolutely amazing to work with. She took the time to do exactly as I asked while also giving me options and explaining what she was working on. She also did my best friend/officiant's hair and makeup and did a beautiful job. I loved that I still looked like me, but better! I flew in from the East Coast for a Washington wedding, so we didn't have a trial, but Liz made me feel comfortable, trusting, and so beautiful on my wedding day.

Bixby + Pine

5.0

  • Florist
  • Starts at $8,000
  • Serves Copalis Crossing, WA

Bixby + Pine began in 2014 officially, but unofficially YEARS before that as three best friends planned everything with intense detail--birthday parties, carnivals, talent shows, and everything in between. B+P couples are people who value experiences and relationships, above all else.

Awarded Best of Zola
My partner and I had a very clear vision of what we wanted for our wedding going into planning. We found an amazing venue that fit the vibe we were looking for, but it was an empty venue with no tables, chairs, staff, lighting, etc. We were so lucky that to find Bixby Pine, because not only have they worked at our venue before, but also understood our vision straightaway. I am very type A and anxious, so when it came to planning I liked to have everything done on the early side. Shortly after we teamed up with BP, we had selected our photographer, florist, and decided where we would get our stationary from. BP provided wonderful suggestions for vendors and many of the ones we choose for our wedding, BP had worked with previous and it helped everything run smoothly. They made me feel so comfortable about how the day would run, and set up everything beautifully. They also helped figure out the best way to handle a sensitive situation that came up with one of our guests. One of the things my partner and I were not prepared to plan when we booked an empty venue space, was arranging all the clean up and trash removal. BP took care of that without us having to worry about it at all. I am so happy we had them to help us plan and coordinate our day.

White Lotus Farm was an absolute gem of a wedding venue. We had an amazing experience working with their team from start to finish. They were always very responsive over email, getting back to us extremely quickly whenever we had a question. On the big day itself, they were collaborative, communicative, and went the extra mile to ensure things went smoothly - like letting our less mobile guests use their golf cart to get around. For the quality of service and sheer beauty of the venue and grounds, White Lotus Farm is excellent value for your money. My husband and I could not recommend them more highly for your special event - they truly helped make our wedding a dream come true. I am so glad you found your way here! My name is Steph (it's lovely to meet you!). I was born and raised overseas in Sri Lanka and moved to the beautiful PNW for college and decided to stay. The world and the people in it are too beautiful not to be art - so here we are creating art out of the beautiful moments you and your lives bring into being. Besides taking photos, I am a big fan of milk tea, hedgehogs, my kid and husband, sleeping in, summer, curry, and friends to share it with. I would love to hear more about you and your story and how I can help document some of your beautiful moments!

Choosing Steph as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our special day! Steph was a true professional and a joy to work with. Steph made everyone feel comfortable and at ease, which really showed in the natural and candid shots she captured. The quality of the photos we received was exceptional. Moreover, Steph's professionalism and organization were spot on. She worked seamlessly with our other vendors and coordinated well to ensure that every important moment was captured without any stress or hassle on our part. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our wedding photos and our experience with Steph. She not only captured memories that we will cherish forever, but she also added to the joy of our wedding day. We highly recommend Steph to any couple looking for a talented, professional, and delightful photographer to capture their special day.

Annaliesa (and mark) went above and beyond. They helped us set up and break down. Anna was determined to get things done to the point we had to actually make her stop and eat. She cleared out chair to make a dance floor. She even helped with our kids while we were running around and getting ready. Mark even made me a plate of food and made me sit down to eat in the middle of all the chaos. Which I really appreciated. They were on top of everything! And she got all of our pics back to us in less than 24 hours!! We love all our pics and are so thankful we have these memories captured.

Perfectly tailored for a rustic theme, but upscaled enough to impress your guests. Facility rentals are available year-round with limited availability for weddings based on Rental and Program calendars. We can accommodate groups of 25 to 400. At least one overnight stay required for wedding events. Cabins are rustic, dorm-style, with 4 to 10 beds per room and separate bathhouses. Many buildings are heated and all within walking distance of the main hall, but some are open-air enclosed cabins. Our event spaces are large and suitable for big group meetings and activities. Outdoor ceremonies can be held throughout the grounds or in the main hall. Our 4,000-sf main dining hall has a large commercial kitchen. The in-floor heating system retains heat in the event of a winter power outage.

Getting married at Camp Parsons was great. Josh Cunningham, the camp director, went above and beyond to help us with our special day. Josh answered any and all questions, answering with the most friendly, helpful attitude. The camp is situated in a private and gorgeous area, right on the bay. If you/guest love camping this is a great place to rent out for a long weekend wedding. We rented out the whole camp Friday-Sunday afternoon and our guests had a blast. Because the camp is nestled between forest and ocean it afforded us a lot of opportunities for amazing pictures. The health lodge was perfect for getting ready and for us (bride and groom) to stay in the night of the wedding. All in all, the venue was affordable, had everything we needed for a successful wedding and we will forever have great memories of our marriage.

Friends and family worked together to remodel a kitchen on the downtown Port Orchard Waterfront, and you can still find us there today! What started out as a dream has become a business that feels more like family. We welcome you to become part of the Essence Family!

Awarded Best of Zola
Essence of the Thymes really went the distance to make my wife and I's wedding a great experience. They catered (pun intended!) to our needs from the food itself and our dietary needs right down to how the serving ware and other dishes looked. Since we did a book-themed wedding, they decided, without us having to ask, to incorporate their own cookbooks into the overall display which really helped add that extra touch. Communication throughout the process was always clear and pleasant, and the staff at the event were amazing. 11/10 would recommend.

Port Gamble Weddings & Events

5.0

Port Gamble, WA
  • Venue
  • Up to 185 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $4,000

St. Paul’s Church sits on a sloping grass bluff overlooking the waters of Port Gamble Bay. The church, built in 1879, is modeled after a church in the Maine hometown of Port Gamble’s founders. One of the most photographed buildings in the area, the picturesque church steeple houses the original church bell, and wedding couples thrill to the sound of the church bell ringing as they are pronounced married. Hood Canal Vista Pavilion offers breath-taking panoramic views and stunning sunsets over the Hood Canal while surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. In the Pavilion, a floor to ceiling stone fireplace sits opposite abundant windows overlooking lush seasonal gardens . Six sets of French doors lead to a slated patio and an expansive grassy bluff right on the shores of the Hood Canal. In the spring and summer months, an adjacent tented terrace offers an additional location for a reception, dance floor and/or cocktail hour.

We had about 100 people and everyone was able to sit and watch and enjoy our pre-wedding event. We had so much fun and the venue is beautiful.

IslandWood

Bainbridge Island, WA
  • Venue

IslandWood, a forested 250-acre island oasis just 35 minutes from Seattle, offers the perfect Pacific Northwest setting for your destination wedding. Exchange vows surrounded by lush forests, serene ponds, and enchanting gardens. Celebrate with loved ones in rustic elegance, enjoying delicious, sustainable cuisine and exploring nature trails, treehouses, and a canopy tower. Your special day at IslandWood also supports environmental education, making your celebration even more meaningful.

We LOVED our wedding at IslandWood! I worked on the events team at IslandWood from 2019-2021, before shifting careers completely. I always loved to work the weddings, and imagined that my dream wedding would be there one day. I am so so happy that I was able to make that dream come true!! IslandWood goes above and beyond to make the guests' and bride & groom's experiences absolutely perfect! I personally already knew the food would taste amazing, as I used to always eat the leftovers when I worked there. But eating food from a menu that my husband and I got to custom design with Jim was truly an unforgettable experience. All of the guests loved the food, and Jim and his team tackle every request that you throw their way! My husband is Dominican, and Jim made sure that the Dominican food he made was authentic and delicious. At one point, my husband's aunts asked whether a Dominican was working in the kitchen! Moreover, Erica, our event planner, went above and beyond to ensure that we had a perfect weekend! IslandWood is a magical place, and your wedding will be magical if you choose to have it there. Yes, it is pricey, but the experiences that you, your family, and your friends will leave with are truly invaluable!

It all begins with passion. My name is Min Wright. I am a Licensed & Certified Master Makeup Artist with 6+ Years of Experience in Airbrush, Bridal, Boudoir, Creative Shoots From Natural Beauty Enhancement to Romantic, Classic Looks, or everything in between. I am honored to be considered as your trusted Makeup Artist! My passion for hair and makeup came at a very early age. I would get home from school and do nothing else other than watch hundreds of hair and makeup videos on YouTube. I would then experiment with different kinds of makeup applications and hairstyles for myself, my friends, and my family.

I absolutely loved my wedding make up and hair! Min’s services were very high quality. I went for a natural look with a bit of shine and Hollywood waves. She nailed it! She was on time, used great products, and made the getting ready process relaxing and fun. My bridesmaids looked amazing as well as I was able to treat them with the services, because it was so affordable!

Lemonade Photography

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,400
  • Serves Copalis Crossing, WA

I never meant to be a wedding photographer - but somehow, here I am. I started my career as a newspaper reporter, and left that to be a writer and photographer for a public university. Almost 10 years into my second career, I was laid off - so I turned some pretty sour lemons into Lemonade Photography. I'm a lifelong Northwesterner, a mom to two boys, a nature lover, a proud geek and quite possibly the biggest Harry Potter fan you'll ever meet (don't challenge me to a Potter trivia contest; you WILL lose). I love to laugh, and I love to make my clients laugh along with me.

We have been an Interactive Wedding DJ/MC at over 1500 weddings, and we Highly recommend Jill @ Lemonade Photography! If you are looking for someone who will capture beautiful memories on camera Jill is amazing. We always love her professionalism & wonderful customer service. Photography is an Art and Jill @ Lemonade Photography has got it down. It takes more than a “point & shoot” to be a photographer, it takes time, an artistic eye and raw talent! Not only does Jill encompass these qualities, she also has a great sense of what a person is really looking for through the eye of a lens. She takes her time to find …just the right shot. If you are looking for a photographer that “listens” to what you want, Jill is the one. Not only is she always professional in her work and technique, she is friendly too. Her talent for catching those perfect moments shows in each and every picture!! She captures the most perfect pictures! I can’t say enough good things about Jill. She makes people feel very comfortable right away and is very professional. She does amazing work and knows how to capture the essence of a relationship in one little picture. Jill is also very easy to get along with, patient, and very professional. We recommend her to everyone! Scott & Jina Fijolek AskDJScott.com

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

The BEST most nerve wracking decision we made for our big day!!! I was so nervous to go this route but trusted my gut and I’m so glad I did. FM was incredible at walking me through the process and the full service package is worth WAY more than what you pay for it. I felt incredibly prepared for flower arrival from all the phone calls, videos, and paperwork they sent including detailed recipes and schedule for the week. We had some hiccups with Hurricanes and delayed shipping. They called me to initially tell me they would be a day early. Then when they didn’t arrive called again and explained they’d been held up in customs(obviously no ones fault). They then sent out an entire extra box of blooms to be sure we got everything we needed. Flowers were beautiful!!! Spending time with my sisters and family putting them together was truly the most fun wedding prep. My guests and coordinator truly couldn’t believe we had done all our own flowers, and the best part??! We saved ourselves literally thousands!! We would recommend FM to anyone for any occasion anytime.
