Monroe Bay Vineyard is located on the water near Colonial Beach on the original birthplace Farm of our 5th President James Monroe. We have secluded and tranquil waterfront land to plan your perfect day. We have a large, unique barn made of natural, recycled materials of strawbales for insulation and recycled wine bottles for light and design. You no longer see the strawbales in the wall as they have been covered with a hydraulic lime the same material castles in France for hundreds of years have been made from. The inside is a museum quality white lime finish with unique curves with sun shining through the patterned wine bottle walls to give a unique backdrop.

Maegan and Katie are the founders of E&E Design Co. They found their strengths together in planning. Maegan is meticulous and brilliant, while Katie is creative and inventive. They found their passion in wedding planning and have expanded on it.

Photography has always interested me as the medium in which to freely express the emotions in my mind. Being interested in photography at an early age I got my first camera, a Polaroid Land Camera. Though mostly a self-taught photographer, I was always a student of taking photos and print manipulation. While practicing photography at the Visual Arts Center in Portsmouth, VA, I learned how to develop and print photos in a darkroom. This led me to converting one of the rooms in my house into a functioning darkroom, and for many years I developed negatives and made prints for clients and art shows.

After shooting weddings throughout high school, I set my camera down when I went to college. I thought I would go, get a corporate career, and just take gorgeous photos of my kids (currently 2 cats and 2 dogs) one day. Three degrees later, the corporate life was draining. My love for telling love stories had never went away. When I picked up my camera again, I felt at home. I’ve run wholeheartedly into this dream and I belong here.
